2026 Olympics: Where Will You be Watching?

Adding to this - The "Venue Feed" team event tiles are listed as Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3. Plus, each segment of the individual events ALSO has a "Venue Feed" that says "World feed. No commentary" in the description. I will be in heaven. Here's hoping all my favorite skaters make the Free Skate/Free Dance, so that I get to see commentary-free versions of both programs. Gosh, it feels like forever since we've been able to have no commentary for figure skating!

Side Note: It's only been three seasons, but it feels like an eternity. ;) Apologies to Mark and Chris and Ted, who seem like lovely people, but (for me) nothing beats having the music, the skater, and the crowd on full display, not to mention the K&C stuff.
It would be my dream to have no commentary.

You can do it on Discovery+, which is cheap to subscribe to during the season. I will sit at home and watch it in the evenings.

Unfortunately, the Olympics are only being shown on Discovery+ in Europe, because Eurosport have pan-European rights. @Jeanie19 is in America, where NBC have the rights. And NBC's streaming service, Peacock, is a nightmare going by what I have read on here over the years. So, I don't think Peacock would be considerate enough to give their users multiple soundtrack options like Discovery+ does on this side of the Atlantic.

For their sake, I hope I'm wrong.

I had planned to go to the Olympics for the first week, but dropped the idea when it was going to cost me half my life savings. Going to Prague for the Worlds instead.

This year is 25 years since I went to Prague on a school trip, and I have always wanted to go back, but never got round to it. So when I saw that Senior Worlds were being held there this year, it seemed like a sign. But when I went looking for tickets, I was put off by the prices. And by the time I thought about it and decided I would still like to go, the only All Event tickets left were up in the rafters. And I decided it was not worth it when I would get a better view on the TV than I would from up there.

Hope you enjoy Senior Worlds!

A new wrinkle - The Peacock venue feeds still say "no commentary." However, I just read in the Pregame Chat thread that Olly Hogben and Belinda Noonan will commentate the figure skating for the OBS. So, we will have to wait and see if "no commentary" is really true or not, on Peacock. I am confused as to why it would specifically say no commentary if there is in fact commentary on the world feed. Sigh.

In the past, Peacock has used the world feed for events, but muted the commentary, so that may be the case here.

Belinda Noonan has a pleasant enough voice, but I was relieved during Pyeongchang 2018 to be able to mute her as she would insist on explaining almost every move during the skates as if she's doing "figure skating elements for dummies".

Save all your comments for afterwards please, Belinda!

Only hope that they don't enlist that ghastly Catherine Whittaker. But hey, I've got my mute button just in case!

I'm planning to go to the Olympics from the U.S. and wondering whether I might be able to access my Peacock account on my iPad while I am in Italy. Does anyone have any experience or advice that might help me?

The reason I am asking is that I see a bunch of Training tiles up on Peacock. My friends and I only have tickets to 3 figure skating events so it would be nice if we could watch some of the other events in our room. (I'm hoping I might be able to connect my iPad to a TV with an HDMI cable?)
You will have to use a vpn, free on google chrome or opera

The question for me will not be where but when.... with Europe, if it's early in the day, then I am sleeping... if it's in the evening there, then, I am working... so it's pretty difficult to watch things live for me. :(
Welcome to my world... watched GP finale in my lunchbreak at work outside in freezing cold because I have no connection inside that concrete building.
Got up for Nationals at 3 am to watch an illegal stream on a workday 🙈 but wow was it worth it

I purchased Discovery + on my phone but worried that I don’t seem to see a link to Milano. Is it too early? Or I need to pay extra for TNT Sports? Many thanks in advance 🙏🏻

I don't see anything either yet. But I looked at what's going to be on over the next week and there were some Olympics events listed, so I don't think you need anything else.

I am unsure where I'll be watching from. My ideal scenario would be the same Olympic YouTube broadcast as in 2022, but I also quite enjoyed some of the national broadcasters who covered the Paris Olympics. Frankly, as long as I don't have to angrily tweet like I did in 2018 ("It's Zagitova, not Zajeetova") I'll be content.

I opened the Olympic app today and somewhere in it, it showed where I can watch the Olympics in my part of the world. The problem is, i can't find where it was anymore. I think you're good with Discovery+.

ETA: here you go: https://www.olympics.com/en/milano-cortina-2026/where-to-watch-olympic-games-live This should show you your options automatically based on your IP.

The Olympics section on Discovery+ UK is up, but they haven't linked to it yet. I assume they will do it nearer to when the first action starts on Wednesday.

Here is the link to the Olympics section on Discovery+ UK:

EDIT: That page is just a glorified advert. Use the links in this post instead:

And here is the link for next Friday's Olympic Team Event coverage on Discovery+ UK:

The tiles on Discovery+ are currently only going up to Friday afternoon.

Hope this helps

Thank you for replying! Still no luck here, the link shows that Discovery + should do in Ireland and when I was purchasing there was notice that Milano will be available on ALL plans. But when I try to search for olympics it says not available in your location. The reason I am worried I would not be surprised if you have to purchase tnt sports. I will have to in the end if needed but hope to avoid extra expense.
