Holy cow, I can see how this tango got Drozhzhina/Tel'nov their sub position in JGP. So cool. I just wish everyone waltzed with the same confidence and passion they tango'd. Also, kudos to Permian team for creative approach to music and themes in both programs.

That was Drozhzhina/Tel'nov who RusFed put up as S for China, even though they were 6th in the nationals. Seems that tango is making impression on everyone. If only they had a watz to match.

I think it’s a combination of factors.
2nd - Pestova/Lagutov - inconsistent
3rd - Maleina/Samokhin - disappeared
4th - Slutskaya/Goncharov - questionable choice for JGP at the moment.
5th - Pilipenko/Mikhailov - split

Dvinina/Potapov WD due to health reasons. They are planning to begin the season at the RGP stages.

Hang on, what do you mean, disappeared? And why are Slutskaya/Goncharov questionable? They seem very good. I get it that their last year's 90's RD digs would be incomprehensible to non-Russians, but they seem to have less internal market programs this year.

They aren't on the national team. And nobody is saying why. They split, changing countries or what.

And why are Slutskaya/Goncharov questionable?

They are very critized in Russia. They have a gap in abilities as Slutskaya is new to ID.
