On the subject of costumes, I do like that the blokes in pairs make more of an effort to match their glittery partners at least a little. That said, if these two had to run our of colour dye, did they have to choose the most grimly dull shade of grey imaginable?

Alisa and Misha. Nice outfits and a good program. A couple mistakes but still a good skate.

Hmm, not the skate they wanted, especially after missing the olympics. However, performance-wise it was truly great, so many details and unique transitions. Alisa is a star.

Not the skate that Efimova/Mitrofanov wanted but not anywhere close to a disaster. I also loved the transitions and their speed.

I think perhaps just the slightest bit of rust is showing. I love watching them though—especially his fabulous foot positions in the death spiral

And I stupidly thought about how good the quality of throws at this event has been during the warm-up, just for the teams in this group to make mistakes on what are usually very solid and beautiful throws...
