JULIA I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God she's so cool and has amazing jumps, her 3Lz is one of my favourites. I feel like this was a retirement skate, hence her emotion, but I have loved every moment of getting to watch her grow and find success over this past quad. This wasn't the skate she wanted to end her career on, but she fought for everything and will be one of THE highlights from the 2026 Olympics for me.

pps her expression in the k&c when she realized she had to do another long program was hilarious that's the face of a woman going dammit I don't know if I want to put myself through 4 minutes of hell

I know someone who'd listen to emo music to get in the mood before some programs. I hope that it's the same, that there's nothing sad in real life for her.

She didn't do that on her previous SPs this season though..... is she just emotional because it's retirement skate...? Did she injure something during warmup, and hence the popped lutz?

I think if Kurakova had done more programs like this—keeping the cutesiness to a minimum—I would have appreciated her a lot more

I'm the opposite. I preferred her old style of programmes.

Every time I see this programme, I can't enjoy it as much because I'm too scared of her having a mishap and popping out of the dress. It is rather loose at the neckline.

And then even if she does manage to get through the programme with her blushes intact, we may have a TV director who is unkind and selects a replay that gives us an eyeful. (Which has happened previously, but not today).

There were never these worries when she was doing cutesy.

Oh no, popped jump is an unforgiven mistake in SP. Well, at least she had great olympics.
Let's see how much PCS can help her but TES gap is not looking good.
