currently I am thinking about how unpredictable the ladies event might be...
- How emotional will Kaori be and how might it affect her? or not? will her last skate bring us joy - I hope so!
- Will Ami and/or Amber try 2 3A? maybe Amber - but I think neither
- Who might play spoiler? I do not see one coming
- Could Ami, Kaori & Amber finish in this order? This would make me sad I think...
- My heart wants Kaori, Amber, then Ami I think...but I keep changing my mind

This is why they call it "March Madness" I wanted to hold Kaori in my arms so bad after the FS at Olys and tell her this is like a bad dream and she is going to have a wonderful life and many have survived what she is going through and lived to be happy. Its just hard to see that at the moment....all those years...all those cold rink hours...all those falls....then having a so so 2024-2025 and making mistakes along the way...and having a come back season in fighting shape and doing so well....and one pop or so.....I have no idea why I am attracted to such cruel sports and skating and pylon aircraft racing....Kaori, we love you. It seems like only yesterday.....here's to all the young skaters like Kaori and Mai......

I hope so. It took them a lot of effort and sacrifice to get citizenship for her so I hope they will stay for another quad and fight for better results.
Isn't the top 16 pairs from the short program advancing to the free skate? I thought the top 20 qualifying for free is for ice dance.
Thank you, 20 pairs is much better, although it will be such a pity for the one team not qualifying!

I think they changed it some time ago. It was 20 last year and few seasons before as well, probably since after 2022.

Has there been a reason announced? I've read of a number of fans from Australia and New Zealand who had tickets to Worlds but had to resell them when their flights by way of the Middle East were disrupted by the war. Or were G/GM not actually training in Australia.Golubeva / Giotopoulos Moore are not on the list anymore
Edit: I read Bev Smith's article after posting this, and I see she says their withdrawal was due to "longstanding injuries". Probably wiser to put in therapy time to recuperate and be back healed for next season.

I went to the doctor's in a much loved sweatshirt, with shall we say, decorative hair placings, (we have six, so many decorations) and the first question she asked was "Cats or dogs"?
