Jayne Torvill, OBE (born 7 October 1957 in Clifton, Nottingham, England) and Christopher Dean, OBE, (born 27 July 1958 in Calverton, Nottinghamshire) are British ice dancers who won a gold medal at the 1984 Winter Olympics and a bronze medal at the 1994 Winter Olympics, becoming one of the oldest figure skating Olympic medalists. They are four-time World Champions, seven-time British champions, and four-time European champions, and five-time World Professional champions. Jayne was, with Michael Hutchinson, 1972 British Pair champion as well.
Christopher Dean has been and still is, an influential choreographer.
The team has skated many numbers in the British TV show Dancing on Ice, which has aired from 2006 to 2023.
In 2026, Chris was knighted.

After the Duchesnays retired due to a rollerblading accident to Paul, Torville and Dean began their return to international competition, aiming for the 1994 Olympics, followed by a heavy post Olympic touring schedule.
Documentation is sketchy for which routines were choreographed by Chris until he did some work for Michelle Kwan.
Chris married Jill Trenary in 1994 and moved to Colorado Spring, CO. From that time on, he often worked with skaters and teams based in Colorado, especially those who also worked with Patti Gottwein and Tom Dickson.
