This clip contains some footage of Jayne skating pairs with Michael Hutchensen, and of Jayne and Chris at 1978 Europeans and 1980 British Nationals

There is a wonderful new Torvill and Dean video on YouTube. It is a 10-minute routine to the music of Slaughter on 10th Avenue. If you search "Torvill and Dean Slaughter on 10th Avenue" on YouTube you will find it. Hard to believe this was created while they were in the midst of preparing for their remarkable 1984 Euros/Olympics/Worlds season.

Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tY5e7qzeVdA

This is a heck of a thread, OP. I can't think of another skater who would have such an exhaustive list of videos!! But I'm a huge T&D fan, so I love it.

BTW, something I have discovered: The video listed as being the 1984 OSP Paso Doble at the Olympics, is actually from 84 Worlds (you can see the banner in the background, and the barrier is covered in advertising instead of the Olympic logo). It is a different camera angle from the video listed as the Worlds OSP.

Apparently, there is no video of the Olympic performance of the OSP Paso Doble on YouTube (or anywhere else, as far as I can tell). This is probably not an accident. I recently found out that Jayne made a major error in the performance and nearly fell - but they still scored three 6.0s in technical merit. A bit of controversy, if you like.

Uhhh.....what happened to my post about the 84 Olympic Paso Doble performance? (and that the link given is actually another angle of 84 Worlds performance, not Olympics).

?????

Somehow you inadvertently deleted your post when you edited it. Fortunately, it was not a hard delete, so I have restored it.

Thanks for the correction. I edited the OP to fix it.

Thank you so much. I have always had so much trouble editing posts on this site, whenever I go to save/repost, they wind up getting deleted. Wish they would fix the design.

And hey, if you ever find video of that Olympic performance anywhere, let me know!

I will post it here, for sure.

BTW If you edit with Mobile format, vbulletin can easily have delete checked, and you lose your post.

If you use Full Site format (vb4 default style), you don't get that problem. You pick it from the drop down menu in the lowest left hand corner.

Even if you are on a cellphone, full site works well :)

I only post from my desktop, so don't know what I'm doing wrong!

Torvill and Dean skate on Dancing on Ice in March 2020. It's all in one shot recorded by Jordan OnIcePersepectives. ...

Jayne and Chris were on Kaitlyn Weaver's corona virus WHO fundraiser "Open Ice." Chris's video of himself running around his house in in-line skates is quite :wow:

https://youtu.be/d2MnuIjMM5I?t=7525

My hunch is that Jordan Cowan, who was Kaitlyn's partner in producing Open Ice, was instrumental in bringing Jayne and Chris into the project. As the first-ever on-ice live camera operator for the "Dancing on Ice" reality TV series, Jordan has been T/D's colleague for the past two seasons.

Please don't get me wrong: I think Kaitlyn deserves huge credit for conceiving and hosting Open Ice (and Jordan was a brilliant choice to be her partner).

Kaitlyn did a very nice job of speaking to T/D live, and the video of Chris was great fun.

1980 Olympics OSP (snippet)- slow foxtrot to "A Little Street in Singapore" (I think?)
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rU7CAdu84nk

from DorvillTean at FSU (thank you :love:}

Ugh, unfortunately this video was taken down by the user. Can't find this performance from anywhere in that season (79-80 OSP). They had trouble with it at 1980 Worlds - Jayne slipped in the same place on two of the three circuits and it cost them the bronze medal - would have been their first international medal otherwise.

DorvillTean has been posting some OUTSTANDING T&D videos on youtube lately!
