Alena Kostornaia

Is the cast off?
I don't remember she said a date for removing the cast. She seems to have changed cast by the way, maybe a lighter one.
I don't read Russian but what I remember is that she had a prescription of 20 days off-ice so it was likely that she would have a cast at least that long but maybe longer?
With Euros and Olympics I'm afraid she won't get much attention from her coaches but she has already done rehabilitation in the past so maybe she can do it with a rather remote supervision. There's also Dasha Usacheva probably in the "rehab team".

Did she break her fingers or hand or both?

Poor aliona having to sit on the sidelines as the push for the Olympic team is on. But that's life and that's sports.
Daniil spoke of fingers but he may have meant the finger bones at the level of the wrist.
If someone understanding Russian could confirm...

I feel to but at the same time I trust her. She's a fighter and she's very well alive.

I have just watched the third part of Tutberidze's interview. This is actually not exactly the third part - rather, some kind of compilation from the first two parts with a few additions. So Eteri said that Kostornaya's injury is a crack in one of her fingers. According to Tutberidze, with such an injury it was quite possible to continue training and participate in competitions. As an example, she used Evgenia Medvedeva, who performed at the Russian championship with a plaster cast on her arm, and it was imperceptible.
Sorry, I was wrong, it wasn't Daniil Gleichengauz it was Eteri Tutberidze who spoke of fingers!
Thank you!

Well, if you meant that, Eteri definitely spoke about the finger, and not even about a "complete" fracture, but about a crack in the bone of the finger. But she is not a doctor, and there is no X-ray in her eyes. It is theoretically possible that she got acquainted with the exact diagnosis, which is kept secret from others, but so far no one has confirmed her words.

Well, maybe next video she will tell us?
But maybe with resuming skating she will space them, out of lack of time.

She is a fighter and she has great gifts and I want those great gifts to last for aleona. She seems to be handling everything properly with this injury.

"European figure skating champion Alena Kostornaya had her plaster removed."
