So, I finally got around to watching her GPF and World Jr performance. Wow! She is legitimately the real deal, like the complete package. Trusova's quad's, I hate to say it, but it has a gimmicky feel to them because of her size and age.

The crazy thing is on the ice with no reference point for height, Alena looks so mature. Once she is in the K&C and next to normal sized adults... jesus she is tiny. Like her proportions make her look like she was shrunken down.

Trusova is what I would imagine if you put a gymnast one ice, it's physically impressive but it doesn't move me. Alena, I feel will have the least growing pains in the next few years.

Her giggle is like a chipmunk. Alenka is a sweetie. But she needs to compete with a ferocious attitude agaist these older much stronger girls. It will be interesting to see how her career unfolds the next couple of years.
 
I think Alenka has the fighting spirit that she needs. It just happens to come in an adorable package. Daniil has described her as a little imp - she wears her heart on her sleeve, and when she wants something, she goes after it. I remember reading an interview with her after her silver medal at JGPF, and the interviewer asked her if she and her parents were proud of her accomplishments. She came across as grateful for her success, but at the same time she said that it was only a silver medal and only at the junior level final. There were much bigger goals to work towards.

Its been a crazy 2 days. Now Zhenya and Polina have left Eteri and the girls really like those 2. But this is sports and life.

her style of speaking and laughing is in fast forward mode... I can put the youtube video to 75% speed and then she sounds like a normal person :rofl:

Alena is incredible. She is for me the most promising Tutberidze girl and by far. Her skating skills are to die for, and she is quite mature artistically Her jumps are good as well. She is extremely talented so I'm excited to see her new programs this season.
 
I can't count how many times I have rewatched her Carmen EX now (and I've had enough of Carmen! Alena's is the only Carmen I can watch). Can't wait for her new programs :drama:
