Ah okay! I knew the concept for the program was different (if I understood Daniil correctly he seems to indicate that Alena will portray an angel in the SP) but I couldn’t tell whether the cut of music was too.

Yes, and Korzeniowski's music was already used for other Sambo's skaters ( ad example music from W.E. for Zhenya, Song for the Little Sparrow for Polina )

Okay so the main choices for Romeo and Juliet (music wise) are:
- Tchaikovsky
- Prokofiev
- Nino Rota (1968 film)
- Romeo + Juliet soundtrack (1996 Baz Luhrmann film)
- Abel Korzeniowski (2013 film)

So lots of choices. I wonder which they've used.

I kind of wish they'd chosen something a bit more fiery for Alena. I'm excited to see her R&J, but it seems like both programs have the same tone. I thought she made a perfect Carmen in her ex, so I was kind of hoping for a tango.

Her SP last season was Dos Cadencias sobre "Adios Nonino" by Pablo Ziegler and she did Carmen before that, so they probably didn't want to do a tango this season for variety. Of course, they could have chosen two programs that were more different then what they've done, but it makes sense to me not to do a tango this year.

Gubanova was one of the best juliets in the ice
