Something in that program needed a rework.
She was loosing levels in spins and steps and that is not acceptable for a skater her level.
Something could be due to her not perfect form like a slow entry in a spin late in the program but it should be addressed and corrected.

When should we expect her to compete next?

It looks like she's still growing day by day.
Surely she's blooming.
Just a year passed since I saw her and she changed and grow up so much, both phisically and in her personality.
I'm so proud 🥰
We will see her at the upcoming Team competition. 6-7th February

Where did you see her? European championships?

Honestly I am not sure I really want a new program for her. I was disappointed in her free this year, so I kind of want to see a new one from her. On the other hand, I think she should focus on getting back her 3A and fix some under-rotated jump issues. Learning new choreo may take away time from her.

But I know our girl is determined. I will keep my fingers-crossed.

Indeed. I feel conflicted for her decision too. It's a late move but if she feels the need for that change (or according to some news I read the fed demanded so) then I wish she could deliver whatever she can at the moment and get that ticket to Worlds. Fingers crossed.

I also feel conflicted about the new program personally, since I think the old one had potential that was never realized. But also, we all saw how her Adele gala suited her perfectly and that was made in only 1 day, so maybe they decided since it wasn’t clicking it would be better to scrap it for something that came more naturally? Maybe she will tell us in an interview.

Thank you.

Sometimes I forget how big is a Moscow is.

Just curious but how do these girls get to practice from home and then from practice to home? I'm hoping their parents drive them and they're not on the train. I hope aliona likes her cottage. I'm sure she will.
Sorry for answering so late.
Her parents live in Northwestern Moscow. When she used to train at Chrystalny with TeamTutberidze, I read in an interview that she had 2h30 walking and metro (with at least one change) each way! And I can tell you Moscow metro is beautiful, safe and efficient but "shaking".
I think Angels of Plushenko rink where she trained for a while must be just as far away. So, if she now can live by her rink, it is so much less exhausting.

I think this is a good choice for exactly that reason. If she’s struggling with presentation for her FS it may even take up more of her time trying to get it just right. Also sometimes change ups like that can be good psychologically and it’s not like it ever really looked “finished” anyways.

The music choice was great in my opinion but the choreography wasn't so i kind of hoped they would have just rework that program. However I'm curios about her new program and hope she feels comfortable with it and it showcases her talent a bit more :)

I love anything by Ludovico Einaudi so excited to see her interpretation of it. There have been some great programs to Experience though so we'll have to see if it ends up being my definitive Experience program :p

(That's assuming Experience is her program music!)
