Is he "dating" Annabelle Morozov? (in quotes because they are just kids, after all)

Looking foward to seeing how Alexei does in the JGP this coming season!

I have updated his OP to include details of his career skating for Russia. Again, if you see any errors, please tell me about them.

Congratulations to Aleksei for all his success in Colorado Springs.
Thanks to Doris for keeping his thread up to date.

Thanks for the attribution, Doris.
And the credit goes to you for identifying Aleksei's FS music.

For the record, just want to add:
Because the YouTube video of Aleksei is unlisted, my post in the Broadmoor thread did not give the direct link.
My own approach to unlisted YouTube videos is to not give the direct link, but to document the source of the link.
What I gave in the Broadmoor thread was the tweet below from @shintora_sports -- which had the link to its own unlisted shintora sports video of Aleksei.

Apologies that my Broadmoor thread post had typos in the name of @shintora_sports.

Mini-FYI that the Freezer family did not sponsor the Aerial Challenge this year.
"Skate Great Aerial Challenge" was the official name of this year's comp. For simplicity, I think most of us here on GS have been calling it just "Aerial Challenge" this year.

Thanks golden411icecoverage

I changed the Aerial Challenge labels.

I feel differently about tweets with video links in them, although I very much respect your opinion.

I have given attribution to the source, and left links to their twitter. Some people have platforms that do not have/allow twitter. For their convenience I gave the youtube link. Since shintaro sports gave the link on a public twitter, I don't feel there is any problem doing that. Shintaro sports also owns the youtube channel, so they still get what monetary compensation there would be for the hits. They just don't get an additional twitter hit.

Doris, I will send you a PM later to explain why I am more comfortable with my approach -- which is unrelated to monetary compensation for the YouTube channel.
But I do not want to dwell on it here in Aleksei's thread.

Thank you again for all your work on the fan threads.

Just read an interview with Alex lately and I'm very impressed at his grounded perspective. Some highlights ;):

What I like about America is opportunity to become anything you want. What amazes me is once you become 18, you become a real estate agent, or buy online stocks, you can go to college and do pre-med and become a doctor and go to medical school. If you work hard in America, you actually get what you work for and I think that is amazing.

I would probably live in Texas because Texas is the only state where you get what you pay for. It is really easy to build your dream house. There is so much land and there are so many opportunities in Texas. Everybody in Texas is nice. In New York, somebody will slam the door on you, if you go to California, they will just let the door go, but in Texas, they will open the door for you.

OK, folks, we need to revive this thread.

Alexei just put on a powerful demonstration at the men's JGPF, walking (skating) away with the gold. :agree: He brought it in *both* the SP and the LP, which none of the other skaters did. And I loved loved loved loved:love: his fierce reaction at the end of his LP. He's passionate, and I admire that passion.

And he has his sights on 4CCs. I hope he makes it:hap10:

Adding my well-wishes and thoughts for Alexei as well!

I really enjoyed his Gladiator skate at the Junior GPF and I was looking forward to seeing it again at Junior Worlds.

Hope he heals fast and will be back on the scene for next season!
