This deserves to be celebrated so much. All 6 of the 8 reigning Olympic Champion have joined the 'Super Slam' Club of winning all possible FS titles in juniors and seniors. Yuzuru is the first male single skater to do so and Alina is the youngest. Cheers to all of them. They are a gift to this sport. -

There is one interesting thing about Shiseido. Of those who are shown on that page Alina is probably the only non-japanese athlete among all of them. Speaks volumes about the respect she has in Japan :thumbsup:

From what I have read the Japanese documentary about Alina and her career will be aired on the 16th of February. Just in time for the last Art on Ice show. I cannot believe all the Alina content we are getting during her break from competition this season.

Yes, we are definitely getting spoiled with all the content, even from Alina herself on her IG!

It's great to see her having so much fun in the shows while still working on her tech, trying out new jump transitions, skating to different music styles and choreos.

All of these experiences can only be beneficial for getting back to competition later. I'm excited about the future

To be fair to Trankov, I don't think he ever had a problem with Alina. It was some of lunatics calling themselves 'fans' making death threats on his IG after he said no-one was hoping Alina would win the OG medal. Not one of his shining moments, but still - not cool, lunatics! You make skating fans look bad.

Threats were written from empty accounts and with strange nicknames. It was a time when there was propaganda in the russian media about Alina’s bad fans. Well, you know the whole situation with Alina in the russian media.
