So great to see them. I can´t wait to see them skate in the team event. We still don´t know who will skate in the TE, right? But I can´t imagine M/G won`t skate in it.
yes, the team event line up is yet to be announced! However, I've got no doubts. MG will be in the team event but from what I've heard, they will likely share it with TM.So great to see them. Really? I actually thought Russia would split dance and ladies. Well probably it wouldn´t be too bad, so Nastya and Sasha won´t be too tired for the individual.yes, the team event line up is yet to be announced! However, I've got no doubts. I think everyone wanted ladies and dance to be split but pairs being split gets Eteri an extra medal so the federation would go with itReally? I actually thought Russia would split dance and ladies. Well probably it wouldn´t be too bad, so Nastya and Sasha won´t be too tired for the individual.
Stepanova/Bukin aren't even in Beijing. The next flight on August 6. They definitely won't split IDReally? I actually thought Russia would split dance and ladies. Well probably it wouldn´t be too bad, so Nastya and Sasha won´t be too tired for the individual.
That´s interesting. I actually thought they had to split dance to protect Nikita´s back. But hopefully he´s feeling better nowStepanova/Bukin aren't even in Beijing. The next flight on August 6. They definitely won't split ID
Good luck for tomorrow, Mishki! Sending you positive thoughts.
It's a word play on Mishina's name. Mishki means little bears. So, if you please, how does "Mishki" become short for Mishina and Galliamov?
I am not going to try to learn Russian when I have access to wonderful people in this forum who will translate what I want to know ... but I am curious.![]()
Oh, .... I was trying to make it a combination of both their names somehow, and it didn't work. It's a word play on Mishina's name. Mishki means little bears.
Another nickname of theirs is gummy bears from Ga(llimov) Mish(ina).Oh, .... I was trying to make it a combination of both their names somehow, and it didn't work.thank you for answering. I thought the little bear ears at Europeans were adorable. And Sasha went along. Sweet.
What is everyone saying? They didn't win over the Chinese, which is fair. Although they should win the tech and lose in components, same as with T/M, but for some reason things are scored back to front. That's hardly Nastya and Sasha's fault though.I don´t care what anyone else is saying. They were great and I love them. They are so young and are already so consistent. They have still so much time left, even if they won´t win pairs this time.
Someone is saying, they skate like juniors and are inferior. But not for me. Perhaps they can´t match S/H`s artistry, yet. But for me, they are special in their own way. What is everyone saying? I am so relieved they managed to keep their nerves under control. Must have been hard without Moskvina there. Gives me hope for the individual event.
Yes, I have been a fan of Nastya since she was fifteen and skated with Mirzoev in a green dress. She's developed a lot, and so did Galliamov. They are progressing all the time, including in components, and there is no reason to think they won't progress further. They are still young. And the way they have shown themselves to be able to perform under pressure makes me optimistic about their future.Someone is saying, they skate like juniors and are inferior. But not for me.
