Poor girl. When a Georgian girl and her coach was shown, in the background in K&C Nastya was crying really hard. It hurt my heart so much to see it. Oh, my poor princess Tarakanova! Don't cry my sweet bunny!

Oh no, poor Nastya! I just watched it and thought she was doing brilliantly until that mistake. Her spins, her jumps, her choreo, temperament and interpretation... wonderful. It‘s such a shame because she made the same mistake last time and then laid down a spectacular FS but now she needs to be perfect to get into the JGPF... She‘d deserve it so much and I hope she can still get the gold somehow. It seems to me she has a higher scoring potential than Tarusina so maybe if she slays the FS she can still make up the difference between her and Anna?
Tarakanova's FS in Canada was 126.13, Tarusina's FS in Bratislava was 119.54 - if you add 4 points for Tarusina's invalid spin then it would have been 123.54 so yes clean Nastya can make up the difference in the FS. The question mark is Tomoe she scored 114.95 in FS in Bratislava with a fall on a downgraded 2A, a ! on her Flip, and a doubled toe on one of her combos.
Honestly I can't understand Nastya's issue with the 3Lz+3T, she jumped it perfectly in the FS in Canada and perfectly twice in the warm up here but then in the SP....it just didn't work.

) Her speed, extensions, spins and the first two jumps looked so solid, but then something happened during her combo..:sad21: It broke my heart to see her crying at the end, I hope she will be able to leave behind this mistake and perform a spectacular LP, that will bring her a spot in the JGPF. Uhh, this is a bit odd to read. After all, Tarakanova was known as a skating skill phenom well before she entered the junior circuit. And not only do I think her last season's programs fit her perfectly, I also think that she displayed very strong skating skills during them. So it's hard for me to really agree with you on your assessment of her in the past.I think Pluschenko is taking Tarakanova on a path that people were hoping Evgenia would take by moving to Orser. Pluschenko has refined so much Nastya's skating in a very short time, they kept her strong sides (Lz, spins) and are working on improvements. Did you pay attention to her edge work? I was amazed, last year she appeared to me as kind of sloppy and not really fitting into her programs, which required some acting skills. Now she looks so well balanced, even though she still makes some (costly) mistakes. If I didn't knew she was a junior, I wouldn't have said it by watching her today. She's grown into a young lady with a hidden talent and I think she's ready for the senior circuit.
Agree. I really like her. She is less spastic now and her edges, and everything else, are much more refined.I think Pluschenko is taking Tarakanova on a path that people were hoping Evgenia would take by moving to Orser. What was the reason for her leaving Eteri? Did she leave on her own accord or was she pushed to leave?
