Based on results one would think so but as we have seen the results aren't the only factors here. I am kind of thinking that the Fed wants to give Tarusina a 2nd event and that is why she is at the 6th event with Tarakanova and not at the 7th event.

I think it's far more likely that because Nana Araki is in the 7th event and she has a real chance of making JGPF, they send Trusova and Kanysheva who are the 2 best skaters available.

All Russian JGP Final can still happen but I wonder how much does Fed care about achieving all-Russian JGP Final since in pairs discipline they intentionally prevented it from happening.

When speculating about the last spot one could also take note that Vasilieva held the 7th event spot until today. One could think that Russian Fed wuoldn't have replaced her today if there were a real chance that she would skate there which might mean that Fed has decided that if Vika does great this week then she will replace Tarusina at the 6th event and not Kanysheva at the 7th event. Vika can still be assigned to either of the last two events but maybe the 6th event would be more likely than the 7th event after all. In this scenario she would have to skate back to back events but sometimes that is unavoidable.

That's true, anything can happen. But I want to believe that Nastya's spot is secure, she had a great performance and a good score. If they'll want to take someone's place from here, they would probably change Anna T, not Nastya.

The problem is that in my opinion every girl we were talking about deserve second spot. That's the sad thing with such strong field of junior ladies it is so complicated to choose only several girls.

That's true but this is just one of these girl's fanfest, let's not forget about that.. We all know that JGPF wouldn't be complete without Nastya!

Nastya was trying a 4T in the training sessions at JGP Ljubljana !! She fell on both (videoed) attempts but they are much closer than I would have expected!!

The first one was very lean, but the second one was really pretty close. Wish her to succeed.
