I think Pluschenko is taking Tarakanova on a path that people were hoping Evgenia would take by moving to Orser. Pluschenko has refined so much Nastya's skating in a very short time, they kept her strong sides (Lz, spins) and are working on improvements.
Sure, all girls that left Eteri are improving so much. The best proof are their results.

Tomoe has big, powerful jumps so I can see her getting ahead of Nastya if both are clean. (Especially since Tomoe has about a 3 point difference to her advantage already) I‘m still hoping for the best for Nastya.
I also can‘t understand why it‘s always in the SP. Maybe it‘s a stamina issue but then why not move the combo to the first half? Better a 3Lz-3T without bonus than a 3Lz-2T with bonus.. But she was so good in the FS last time so I think it might be nerves more.
I wish her all the best, though. Go Nastya Go!!![]()
I don't understand why people get so offended. Eteri's school is No.1 and produces winners, no one is denying that. And yes, the girls that left her recently are messed up. I just pointed out that Tarakanova is kind of a surprise because I personally expected that she would be doing far worse than she actually is. Many people are sceptical about Pluschenko's coaching but I think he also contributed to some improvements in her technique, like when she jumps it doesn't look as scary as it used to. She had better results last season but getting high scores doesn't always mean pleasant skating.

I don't think it was about being offended. We in Czech Republic are not millenial snowflakes instantly offended by anything. It was just expression of skepticism over the conclusion of the original comment. Because when it comes to skepticism, we are masters os the universe on this filed![]()

Uhh, this is a bit odd to read. After all, Tarakanova was known as a skating skill phenom well before she entered the junior circuit. And not only do I think her last season's programs fit her perfectly, I also think that she displayed very strong skating skills during them. So it's hard for me to really agree with you on your assessment of her in the past.
So yes, she has very good edge work... But she has had very good edge work for a long time. In that regard, I'm not really sure how much Plushenko's done...

Nastya was trying a 4T in the training sessions at JGP Ljubljana !! She fell on both (videoed) attempts but they are much closer than I would have expected!!
