Anastasiia Gubanova

she was 4th which is good but not enough to make it to national team

Anyway I heard rumour that Buianova rejected her. Did anybody hear about it?

It's not about having Yuna or Adelina jumps. Her technique is just not good and I'm not talking only about long telegraphing. Her axis is not good and her legs are pretty apart. Also her landings are heavy (more visible in real life than in TV). Anastasia has natural musicality and her ability to perform and hypnotise spectators isn't something you can learn. she truly is diamond but if she doesn't get these jumps right she won't last long in Russian field and it will be tremendous loss to skating world.

She is so pretty and such a beautiful skater. Eteri loves tiny girls who are pretty I am surprised she did not nab Nastya But Nastya is being coached by Adelina's Sochi gold medal coach. This is very good news as is her being with CSKA.

I'm so excited because of her. Some years ago someone asked in a thread who is our favorite Nugumanova or Gubanova..I chose Nastia. We were the minority. I like Elizaveta too, but I saw something very special in Nastia..And she grew up and became a very beautiful girl with great potencial!

She obviously has the beauty as a girl and figure skater. Now Nastya has to lift her technical game to new heights in order to compete with the best.

So she changed both of her programs for the new season? Somehow I left with the feeling that I wanted to see them more, maybe when she really started to skate them well the season was ended. (no complain for changing them though)

I'm very curious to see if she, consistency wise, will start from last seasons end since her body changes must have been stabilized now. And if she can fix the rotation axis (lutz mainly), most of the time she is leaning to one side.

It will be interesting to see how she develops.
