Boyang Jin | Page 56 | Golden Skate

Boyang Jin

According to Orser, its a permanent arrangement. Excited to see his upcoming programs. And another top skater to TCC, its like a dream team over there.

It seems like Boyang's going to be with TCC permanently (or at least long-term) https://www.facebook.com/IFSmagazine/posts/10157372988562538

I admit I'm a little worried for Hanyu - I stand by my comment that long term Boyang is the biggest threat and he seems to be focused on doing what's necessary to improve his weaknesses. but I think it would be good for both of them - they seem to have a good rapport and will inspire each other. I'm looking forward to hearing "go Boyang" in Mandarin in some competition in the future.

I don't like Lori Nichol as a choreographer though. I hope he tries someone new at some point.

whoosh. right over my head. can you explain the joke?

It's a portmanteau that their fans use whenever they appear together in pictures. "Tiansheng". Tian Tian is Boyang's nickname, and Sheng comes from Yuzuru's Chinese name, I think. "Tiansheng" means "born".

The full sentence means "match made in heaven", and their fans use it. Boyang recently trolled them by using it on one of his own pictures with Yuzuru.

天生一对 = match made in heaven
天 from boyang's nickname 天天, 生 from hanyu 羽生
boyang also made the joke himself on weibo

i'm so excited for this move!! i can't wait to see how much he'll improve :yahoo:

Thanks for all the help :) It's so heartwarming to see competitors who get along so well. The scene these days is so different than the 90's/early 2000's. Though the drama of the olden days was also fun.

I’m not worried for Yuzu at all. He’ll have another top-skater with him (and a kind fun one) whom he gets along with. And I agree, this arrangement will be beneficial for both Boyang and Yuzu. :) And while it is unsure for Yuzu, it is clear that Boyang is aiming for a 2022 Olympic medal. Win-win situation there, I believe. :) I look forward to seeing develop under Orser... especially if it means he’ll also learn not to jump too close to the boards (so scary :().

I hope we get an official announcement or statement from Boyang himself or the Chinese fed at least. It would interested what his take is on the change and whether he is still in contact with his old coach.

Also, Tracy and Brian are now Boyang's coaches according to wikipedia. You guys work fast.
