it's almost sold out!£275-300 for all-event ticketsit's disappointing to see how high the prices are. It's a niche sport with a rare occasion to host, they should have made it more affordable...also barely any marketing, I think it will be a struggle to fill the audience.

I feel the same. I was so excited to have a GP event in the UK and was considering zooming straight out of work on the Friday night and driving the 5 hours to Sheffield, especially as my favourites are skating there, but I just cannot justify those ticket prices on top of the fuel and accommodation.
I really hope the event will be a success though, it'd be an amazing incentive to have more events held in the UK.But there's no one skating there with megastardom power to attract fans overseas. And if they were rich enough, wouldnt they go too Turin instead.
Must be rich die-hard overseas fans buying them up en massse. Because it certainly isn't British people paying those prices.
Well, at least there will be a good turn-out. And the Fed will get some well needed money coming in. Let's hope that once costs are covered, the remainder manages to go towards funding the skaters. Because they badly need extra funding.

It certainly is expensive - and the venue itself isn't at all fancy. The IDF tickets in 2018 were about 25 euros a day - so a fraction of the cost of the Sheffield tickets.
Unless the ticketing site is malfunctioning - which wouldn't surprise me, given British Ice Skating's track record for malfunctioning ticketing websites....
I was trying to find tickets prices for the Grand Prix de France but couldn't find anything online. I'd be curious to compare the 3 to see what their prices are. I'm genuinely surprised not to have found any info on the french federation website (and no website at all for the event that I could find, even when searching in french). Finland is known to be more expensive (as are the other Scandinavian countries) so France could be an interesting comparison point.
This year is shaping up to be incredibly exciting for Ashlie and Atl! I can't wait to see their progress....and their young team-mates, Aslie Slatter and Atl Ongay-Perez are on the newly released Provisional Entry Lists for the Armenian Cup. (Phebe and James are the first set of substitutes, with Sophia Bushell and Alex Lapsky being the second set).
Jedidiah Lincoln is due to join them in the Men's category. (Substitutes: Connor Bray, Lucas Fitterer, and Freddie Leggott).
I was suprised to see no British girls entered.
No Irish skaters going to Armenia either.
But, all the best to those skaters from these islands that are going!
