Chiara finished 35th out of 46 in the SP, with a score of 46.17.

Here is what I wrote in the competition thread about the Warm-Up:

Second of my kids in this group.

My goodness! Chiara looks like an adult that has accidentally found their way into a children's session! 😲 Well, to be fair, she is the oldest in the group.

Lovely jump just after the announcer finished going through the skaters.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to see any elements after that. The camera did focus on her at one stage, and you could see she wanted to do a jump, but she was having to weave around other skaters.

Hopefully things will go as well for her as they did for my earlier kid.

CaroLiza_fan

And here is what I wrote about her programme:

Beautiful 2A to start with.

And the combination was beautiful too. As was the combination spin that followed.

Sorry, my typing couldn't keep up with her. I was mesmerised, because everything was beautiful.

Ted said just after she finished that she popped the Lutz. And I had to laugh, because there was technical difficulties with the commentary at the time, and his voice was popping badly.

To be honest, I didn't notice the pop. Everything looked faultless to me.

She goes into 7th. Two positions and 3.57 points behind my other kid.

Now we have to wait to find out if she gets into the Free. The Q's start to appear after the first skater in the next group.

Chiara is 1.08 points behind 34th position, Yekaterina BALYUBA (KAZ), and 0.46 points ahead of 36th position, Lena CUSAK (HRV). All three of them are part of a massive group where 31 skaters are covered by 16.01 points, stretching from KIM Yuseong (KOR) in 9th position, 13.41 points ahead of Chiara, to Meda VARIAKOJYTĖ (LTU) in 39th position, 2.60 points behind Chiara.

Unfortunately, with only 24 skaters going through to the Free Skate, that means that she is out. The skater in 24th position, Polina DZSUMANYIJAZOVA (HUN), is 7.18 points ahead of Chiara.

It's such a shame, because she did skate well. But, that's the sort of thing that happens when you have a field this size, and there is a cut-off.

Chiara was always going to be fighting an uphill battle to get to the Free Skate anyway, because everybody ahead of her had programmes with higher total Base Values. The skater that got the last qualifying position had a programme with a total Base Value that was 7.48 points higher than Chiara's.

But that she had six skaters behind her with programmes that had higher total Base Values shows how well she did.

Hot on the heels of Junior Worlds, Chiara is back in action today at the Sonja Henie Trophy in Oslo, Norway.

The Junior Ladies SP is due to start today at 12:54:00 CET (11:54:00 GMT / 13:54:00 EET). So 6 hours from now.

Chiara will be the 25th skater to start. So, first skater to go in Group 6.

The Group 6 Warm-Up is due to start at 16:05:00 CET (15:05:00 GMT / 17:05:00 EET). So 9h 11m from now.

Chiara is due to start at 16:12:15 CET (15:12:15 GMT / 17:12:15 EET). So 9h 18m from now.

But, those times may change if somebody that is due on before her withdraws.

Chiara is currently 3.38 points behind 3rd position, Darja TRUBITSON (FIN), and 0.34 points ahead of 5th position, Emmi AHLSTEDT (FIN). Chiara is at the head of a group of 8 skaters covered by 3.86 points, stretching down to Ida Eline VAMNES (NOR) in 11th position.

On the one hand, if Chiara has a good Free Skate and one of the skaters ahead of her makes msitakes, she could nick a medal. HOWEVER, she needs to be careful not to make any mistakes herself, because if she does and the skaters behind her go clean, she could easily tumble down the order.

So, she does need to have a good Free Skate to maintain her position.

The Junior Ladies FS is due to start today at 11:55:00 CET (10:55:00 GMT / 12:55:00 EET). So 4 hours from now.

The Group 5 Warm-Up is due to start at 15:30:00 CET (14:30:00 GMT / 16:30:00 EET). So 7h 35m from now.

Chiara finished 4th out of 30 in the FS, with a score of 89.09. This meant that she dropped to 5th position overall, with a score of 133.80.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch the Sonja Henie Trophy.

Chiara finished the Free Skate 0.13 points behind 3rd position, Emmi AHLSTEDT (FIN), and 2.89 points ahead of 4th position, Lotta ARTIMO (FIN).

Overall, Chiara finished 0.34 points behind 4th position, Cathryn LIMKETKAI (PHL), and 0.21 points ahead of 6th position, Ahlstedt.

It is always a strange situation when a skater finishes in the same position in both segments, but drops a position in the overall reults. But, that is the sort of thing that can happen when the skater that wins the SP finishes a position lower than you in the FS [Lotta ARTIMO (FIN)]; and the skater that finishes two positions lower than you in the SP wins the FS [Lena EKKER (HUN)].

Even so, there is no way of sugar coating it. The problems that Chiara had with all three of her Lutzes this week cost her badly. When you take the three Lutzes together, she got -2.50 points in GOE for them. Just getting the Base Value for the Triple Lutz-Double Toe combination that opened her FS would have been enough to secure 4th position overall. That said, just having no issues on the Lutzes would probably not have been enough to win her a medal. She would have needed them to get +2.78 points in GOE to finish ahead of Artimo in the overall results. Which is probably a bit much to ask from just three elements.

That said, apart from the events in Bulgaria that she has won, 5th is her best finishing position of the season. And this is the third time she has achieved it.

Oh, and her next event is in Bulgaria... ;)

Just short of 3 hours after her sister takes to the ice, Chiara will be back in action today at the Black Sea Ice Cup in Kranevo, Bulgaria.

The Junior Ladies SP is due to start this afternoon at 15:40:00 EEST (12:40:00 GMT / 13:40:00 BST). So 7 hours from now.

Black Sea Ice Cup Junior Ladies SP: Results; Protocols

Chiara finished 6th out of 23 in the SP, with a score of 42.37.

Here is what I wrote in the competition thread about the Warm-Up:

Well, it may have taken me a while to get used to Chiara with blonde hair, but it certainly helped me spot her here. All the other skaters in this group have dark hair.

We saw her doing some small practice jumps at the start of the Warm-Up. And a while later she did a nice jump at the far side of the rink at corner of the camera shot. But apart from that, we didn't see her doing any other elements within camera shot.

Right, two skaters between now and her programme.

CaroLiza_fan

Here is what I wrote about her programme:

Fall on her first jump.

Then buffering. So, I don't know what happened next.

Combination spin that we returned on looked good.

Fall on next jump.

Spins good. I thought she had over-ran the end of her music, but it was a break in the music.

Step Sequence looked good.

I think she finished a bit early, and tried to cover it up with an extra finishing pose.

Oh dear.

Chiara has a habit of winning competitions in Bulgaria. But, after that SP, I don't think she has a chance of doing so here.

Earlier on, I was looking forward to Vayana getting her score, and was disappointed when it came through because I thought she deserved more. But, I don't want to see Chiara's score here.

She goes into... 3rd?!

OK. Did Chiara get some of the points her sister should have got earlier?

I may like Chiara, but I really do not understand how she scored higher than Vivian PAPP (HUN). I wouldn't have put this performance near Papp's, never mind 0.92 points ahead of it.

Anyway. We are where we are.

:cheer: WELL DONE CHIARA!!! :cheer:

CaroLiza_fan

And this is what I wrote half an hour later:

I have to admit, my heart isn't in this competition any more, after seeing the home cooking that my kid benefitted from.

I like the girl, but this is really sticking in my throat. I want her to be getting scores that are realistic, so that she knows what she needs to work on to improve them. Inflated scores help nobody.

And it must be a real slap in the face for the skaters from the local clubs that a skater from the other side of the country is getting the home cooking.

CaroLiza_fan

Now that I have seen the Protocols, I am starting to understand the scores better. Although Vivian had no falls, she did have one major mistake that I didn't spot. Her second element was supposed to be a combination jump. However, because the first part, a Triple Flip, was downgraded, she couldn't attach the second jump. Also, the total Base Value of her programme was a whole 6.36 points lower than Chiara's. That's a lot.

So, I want to apologise for jumping to the conclusion that Chiara was benefitting from home cooking.

Chiara is currently 4.92 points behind 5th position, Annalisa URSINO (ITA), and 0.92 points ahead of 7th position, Vivien PAPP (HUN). Chiara is at the head of a group of 3 skaters covered by 1.15 points, which stretches down to Krista GEORGIEVA (BUL) in 8th position.

Being realistic, barring disaster skates from any of the skaters ahead of her, Chiara is not going to finish any higher than where she already is. And you could argue that she shouldn't even be as high as that.

But, Chiara does need to put in a good Free Skate, because Vivien and Krista are snapping at her heels and are in a very good position to overtake her if she makes any mistakes.

I'm afraid that Chiara withdrew from the Free Skate.

I didn't actually realise that she had withdrawn until after the Warm-Up. Chiara was due to be the first skater to go in the final group, and I saw the skater that was still on the ice after everybody else had left and thought "hang on, that's not Chiara!"

Here is how it played out in my comment in the competition thread at the time:

Missed the first minute or so of the Warm-Up waiting for Papp's scores. They took a long time to come through.

There was only one girl with blonde hair, and she only came into camera shot twice after that. Both times she was just crossing from one side to the other. Mind you, the first time, she was doing some arm stretches at the same time.

Hang on. It must have been somebody else with blonde hair. Chiara's withdrawn! :jaw:

Right. Now I'm worried. Did she hurt herself in one of her falls yesterday?

CaroLiza_fan

Fortunately, another member replied after the event was over to tell us the reason for her withdrawal:

Chiara withdrew because her skates are broken. No injury from the falls fortunately.

Thank goodnesss that she isn't injured. Still, it's not the way you would want to end the season. But, at least there are a few months now to sort everything out in time for next season.

Thank you for the information, @Daniel3120.  :points:

Chiara finished 30th out of 35 in the FS, with a score of 60.12. This meant that she dropped to 27th position overall, with a score of 100.11.

Unfortunately, because the Podium Ceremonies were happening at the Denis Ten Memorial Challenge at the time, I actually forgot to switch over to watch Chiara. However, I have now watched the Warm-Up and her programme on the archived livestream.

Here is the sort of comment that I would have written about the Warm-Up for the competition thread if I had been watching LIVE:

The first time we see Chiara, she is wearing a black body warmer over her dress. The camera is focussing on another skater, and Chiara goes past, starts to line up a jump, and then goes out of shot just as she is taking off!

The next time we see her, again in the background of a shot, she is taking off her body warmer and handing it to her coach.

When the camera did eventually focus in on Chiara, we saw her weaving through skaters to get to the far end of the rink, where she did a jump. The landing wasn't great, but I think her mind was pre-occupied with where the other skaters around her were.

She then came down to the end of the rink that the camera was at and did another jump, which went better. But, again, there were a lot of skaters in the vacinity.

She then went back down to the far end (where there were no skaters), and started heading back up towards the camera. But the camera changed to focus on another skater just as Chiara was lining up a jump.

About 15 seconds after this, we saw the skater being focussed on narrowly avoiding a collision with Chiara. And this was the last time we saw Chiara before her programme.

She may be only 16, but Chiara knows she could easily pass for older. And you can see that in her costume. There is a lot of illusion mesh to prevent "accidents", but it is trying to look like one of those dresses where the top half is a single narrow piece of material that goes from one hip to the opposite shoulder, around the back of the neck to the other shoulder, and then crosses over itself to the other hip. The bottom half is see-through. It is mainly a sort of a grey colour.

Here she is (well, her boots anyway!)

:cheer: ALL THE BEST CHIARA!!! :cheer:

CaroLiza_fan

And here is the sort of comment that I would have written about her programme for the competition thread if I had been watching LIVE:

Oooh. I don't know this particular Rolling Stones song, but going by the title it sounds like it will be interesting - "Symphony For The Devil".

That doesn't sound like Mick, Keith and the boys. That's a female voice!

First jump, the Double Lutz, lovely.

So was the second, the Double Loop.

The third jump, the Double Salchow, didn't look as good to me.

The sequence of jumps she did next was lovely.

Change Foot Combination Spin lovely.

Triple Flip lovely too (this is starting to sound like a stuck record!)

Combination jump was good, but she looks to be tiring.

Ach, not a great landing on the Triple Flip, which very nearly resulted in a double hands down. But, she managed to keep air between them and the ice.

Sit Spin was lovely, but this is where the programme confused me. This element seemed to be the natural end of the programme, but it was as if some more music was then tagged on so that she could do two more elements.

The final two elements, the Choreographic Sequence and the Flying Camel Spin, were lovely too.

Oh, Ted is saying she popped a whole pile of jumps at the start of the programme. I didn't notice anything like that. Apart from possibly the Salchow, they all looked good to me!

He noticed her eyes moving around, and was wondering if she was completely focussed.

Ted and Mark are going on and on that she should be doing triples rather than doubles. Now Ted's comparing her to the Japanese skaters! :drama:

Well I'm sorry, but the programme looked good to me! I don't care how many times she rotates, just so long as she does the jumps well. And in my eyes, she did.

Ina Demireva (Albena Denkova's sister) sitting with her. My goodness, you would not think the age difference between Ina and Chiara was nearly 19 years! 😲

Little reaction from either of them

She goes into 8th in the FS, and 5th overall.

Well, nobody else may be happy with how she did, but I am.

:cheer: WELL DONE CHIARA!!! :cheer:

CaroLiza_fan

Chiara finished the Free Skate 1.00 points behind 29th position, Emilia SOLOUKHIN (NED), and 1.59 points ahead of 31st position, Ana STRATULAT (ROU). The three of them were the bottom three skaters in a group of 4 skaters covered by 4.33 points, which was headed by Nađa SAVIĆ (SRB) in 28th position, 2.74 points ahead of Chiara.

Overall, Chiara finished 2.59 points behind 26th position, Sofia LAMPRINOU (GRE), and 0.86 points ahead of 28th position, Arina VOROBEVA (GBR).

I just don't know any more. (OK, so I never knew! ) Everything looked lovely to me, but there were so many minuses in the protocols. And the commentators were so critical. And she dropped positions.

So, all I can say is keep working at it, and maybe things will go better next time she is in action.

It's a pity that, like last year, she only has the one Junior GP this season. Because, although the Bulgarian domestic scene is pretty competitive, being out there against a variety of international skaters does help you progress more than competing against the same skaters all the time.

:cheer: WELL DONE CHIARA!!! :cheer:

Chiara finished 5th out of 38 in the SP, with a score of 50.74.

Unfortunately I was not able to watch the Denkova-Staviski Cup, as I was concentrating on the IceChallenge from Graz.

Chiara is currently 0.14 points behind 4th position, Irina NAPOLITANO (ITA), and 1.01 points ahead of 6th position, Alice SMITH (GBR). The three of them are the top three skaters in a group of 7 skaters covered by 3.92 points, stretching down to Giulia BARUCCHI (ITA) in 10th position, 3.78 points behind Chiara.

Chiara is in a position where, if she has a good Free Skate, she could actually challenge for a 🥉 Bronze Medal, or even a 🥈 Silver Medal. Varvara ABRAMKINA (CYP) in 3rd position is only 2.50 points ahead of Chiara, while Kira BARANOVSKA (LAT) in 2nd position is 4.62 points ahead of Chiara. However, she has to be careful, because if things do not go her way, there is the potential for her to tumble to the bottom of the Top 10.

So let's hope she has a good Free Skate, and moves up!

Chiara finished 6th out of 30 in the FS, with a score of 92.71. This meant that she remained in 5th position overall, with a score of 143.45.

Unfortunately I was not able to watch the Denkova-Staviski Cup, as I was concentrating on the IceChallenge from Graz.

Chiara finished the Free Skate 1.43 points behind 5th position, Khrystyna HALIARETA (UKR), and 0.53 points ahead of 7th position, Michaela MÁLKOVÁ (CZE). The three of them are the bottom three skaters in a group of 5 skaters covered by 4.07 points, stretching up to Alice SMITH (GBR) in 3rd position, 3.54 points ahead of Chiara.

Overall, Chiara finished 2.53 points behind 4th position, Smith, and 1.36 points ahead of 6th position, Khrystyna HALIARETA (UKR). Chiara was at the head of a group of 3 skaters covered by 1.65 points, which was completed by Málková in 7th position.

Not a bad result for Chiara at the big international event hosted by the club she belongs to. Sure, she will be annoyed that popping the Axel in the Short invalidated it. But, whilst it may have cost her the chance of finishing in 4th position overall, getting it is unlikely to have given her enough extra points to earn her a medal.

Instead, she should reflect on her scores, and how they are so much higher than she got in her Junior GP. And, indeed, a lot higher than she has scored since the Sofia Trophy in February (SP) and Nationals last December (FS and overall).

Chiara finished 18th out of 49 in the SP, with a score of 40.62.

Here is what I wrote about her in the competition thread during the Warm-Up:

Didn't arrive back from my dinner in time to see all of the Warm-Up.

This was one occasion when I was grateful that Chiara had dyed her hair blonde, because it meant that I spotted her quite quickly (nearly all the girls in this group have dark hair).

She did a lovely jump at the far end of the rink, just at the edge of camera shot.

Towards the end of the Warm-Up, she went over to Andrei, spoke to him, and then went and did another jump at the far end of the rink, but out of camera shot. And then she went back to him, and set off in the same direction again, and presumably did another jump out of camera shot.

Looking forward to seeing her programme again. It seems like a long time since her Junior GP.

Ach, popped her next jump. But did a lovely combination spin and then a sit spin afterwards.

Step Sequence good.

Mmmm. I know I am biased because I don't like Choreographic Slides, but I don't think that was wise doing one at the very end. Will the fact that she was still sliding well after the music finished be held against her?

No deductions, so she got away with the sliding.

She goes into 7th position. 0.08 points ahead of Zala GRUM (SVN), who skated directly befoere her.

:cheer: WELL DONE CHIARA!!! :cheer:

CaroLiza_fan

Chiara is currently 0.86 points behind 17th position, SelmaSiri LARSEN (DEN), and 0.08 points ahead of 19th position, Zala GRUM (SVN).

I usually define groups by gaps of 2 points or more. But, if I were to do that in this case, all three of them would be part of a group of 40 skaters covered by 21.58 points, stretching from Michaela MÁLKOVÁ (CZE) in 9th position, 4.14 points ahead of Chiara, down to Buse SEZERER (TUR) in 48th position, 17.44 points behind Chiara.

In a group as massive as this, which covers three quarters of the field, absolutely anything could happen. Chiara could move significantly up the order, or significantly down the order.

So let's hope she has a good Free Skate, and moves up!

:cheer: WELL DONE CHIARA!!! :cheer:

The Junior Ladies FS is due to start today at 15:00:00 TRT (12:00:00 GMT / 14:00:00 EET). So 6 hours from now.

The Group 7 Warm-Up is due to start at 19:51:10 TRT (16:51:10 GMT / 18:51:10 EET). So 10h 51m from now.

Chiara finished 12th out of 49 in the FS, with a score of 83.39. This meant that she climbed to 12th position overall, with a score of 124.01.

Here is what I wrote about her in the competition thread during the Warm-Up:

I wish I'd checked what Chiara's dress looked like before the Warm-Up, because there were two girls with blonde hair.

I think she was wearing a black jacker over a light brown / gold dress.

If that was her, she had to take avoiding action to not hit somebody early on in teh Warm-Up.

I think I'm going to have to re-watch the Warm-Up later, because I couldn't pick her out when sitting at the other side of the room at the computer.

But here she is now.

And here is what I wrote about her programme:

Phew! I did have the right skater in the Warm-Up.

Started with a beautiful combination jump.

And the next two individual jumps she did were beautiful too.

The first part of the combination jump wasn't great. But the second aprt was.

Spin good.

Wow! I thought she was going to keep rotating forever on that jump, but the boards were coming up so thankfully she did stop!

Fell on the next jump, though.

Just about landed the first part of the three jump combionation.

And she did a slide out of the Sit Spin just like her sister did earlier.

Sliding across the ice on her knees now. (That is bound to be uncomfortable!)

Combination spin good.

Andrei Lutay with her.

She goes into the lead of both FS and overall.

:cheer: WELL DONE CHIARA!!! :cheer:

Chiara finished the Free Skate 1.14 points behind 11th position, Mila BERTSCH (FRA), and 3.63 points ahead of 13th position, Kira THURNER (DEU). Chiara is the bottom skater of a group of 5 skaters covered by 3.82 points, stretching up to Vasilisa BOGOMOLOVA (CYP) in 8th position.

Overall, Chiara finished 3.08 points behind 11th position, Bertsch, and 1.05 points ahead of 13th position, Varvara KOROTKOVA (UZB). Chiara is at the head of a group of 5 skaters covered by 3.72 points, stretching down to Thurner in 16th position.

Granted, Chiara's scores here were a good bit lower than they were at the Denkova-Staviski Cup a couple of weeks ago. But, given that that event is organised by the club she belongs to, and hence she would have had a lot of support and encouragement driving her on, that is not really surprising. But, the important thing to take is that they were higher than she got in her Junior GP.

Let's hope she continues to improve as the season goes on.

The Group 5 Warm-Up is due to start at 16:27:40 EEST (13:27:40 GMT / 14:27:40 BST). So 8h 42m from now.

Black Sea Ice Cup Junior Ladies SP: Results; Protocols

No video uploaded yet 😞

Chiara finished 14th out of 25 in the SP, with a score of 40.93.

Unfortunately I was not able to watch the Black Sea Ice Cup.

Looking at the Protocols, it is plain to see that Chiara could have been so much higher. She singled out two of her jumps, which made them invalid elements. The first of these was the Axel that she did as her second element. The second was the Flip that she did as her fourth element. To compound matters, the Flip was landed on the wrong edge.

But everything else went really well, with no negative numbers at all. The GOE ranged from +0.26 for the Step Sequence that ended the programme, to +0.79 for the Triple Lutz-Double Toe that opened the programme. And all the Judge marks ranged from 0 to +2.

Chiara is currently 0.95 points behind 13th position, Annalisa URSINO (ITA), and 0.52 points ahead of 15th position, Regina LLADO FERNANDEZ del CAMPO (MEX). All three of them are part of a group of 6 skaters covered by 4.62 points, stretching from Ana ŠĆEPANOVIĆ (SRB) in 11th position, 1.72 points ahead of Chiara, down to Carlota GARCIA BARRANCO (ESP) in 16th position, 2.90 points behind Chiara.

I am probably being a bit unfair by saying the group only goes up to 11th position, because there is a gap of more than 2 points between 10th and 11th. However, Chiara is actually only 5.71 points behind Alexa SEVERN (GBR) in 5th position. So, although she is currently in 13th, if Chiara has a good Free Skate, she could get well into the Top 10.

So, let's hope she does.

:cheer: WELL DONE CHIARA!!! :cheer:

The Junior Ladies FS is due to start tomorrow at 08:30:00 EEST (05:30:00 GMT / 06:30:00 BST). So 9 hours from now.

Chiara will be the 13th skater to start. So, third and middle skater to go in Group 3 (and third skater to go after the first resurfacing).

The Group 3 Warm-Up is due to start at 10:01:20 EEST (07:01:20 GMT / 08:01:20 BST). So 10h 31m from now.

Chiara is due to start at 10:20:30 EEST (07:20:30 GMT / 08:20:30 BST). So 10h 50m from now.

But, those times may change if somebody that is due on before her withdraws.

Chiara finished 14th out of 25 in the FS, with a score of 73.50. This meant that she climbed to 12th position overall, with a score of 114.43.

Unfortunately I was not able to watch the Black Sea Ice Cup, as I was watching the Japanese Formula 1 Grand Prix from Suzuka.

Looking at the Protocols, I've never seen anything like it! Well, anything like what happened with one element in particular.

Her eighth element was a Double Flip-Double Toe-Double Loop. And there were issues with every part of the combination. The notes column looked like it was swearing at us! Firstly, the Double Flip didn't have a clear edge. Then the Double Toe was invalid. Then the Double Loop was landed on the quarter and was invalid. And to compound matters, the attachments being declared invalid meant that it was called as a repeated element! :drama: It got the third biggest GOE hit of the programme at -0.60; as well as -5 from Judge 3; -4 from Judge 5; -3 from two Judges; and -2 from Judge 2.

There were five other elements that got negative GOE. The first of these was the second element, the Triple Lutz, which was under-rotated. It got the second biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.94; as well as -2 from four of the Judges; and 0 from Judge 2. The next was the Triple Lutz-Single Axel that she did in sequence as her sixth element. Again, the issue was with the Triple Lutz, which was landed on the quarter this time. It got the biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.98; as well as -2 from three Judges; -1 from Judge 1; and 0 from Judge 2.

I've already mentioned the sixth and eighth elements. Well, the seventh element, the Double Flip-Double Toe, also had issues. Just like in the eight element, the Double Flip didn't have a clear edge. It actually got the smallest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.18; along with -2 from Judge 3; -1 from three Judges; and 0 from Judge 2.

The final two elements also had negative GOE and mostly negative Judges marks.

The remaining elements had GOE ranging from +0.04 for the Double Salchow to +0.28 for the Flying Camel Spin. Apart from a +2 from Judge 2 for the Sit Spin, all the Judges marks for these elements were either 0 or +1.

Chiara finished the Free Skate 0.58 points behind 13th position, Tsvetelina PANOVA (BUL), and 0.12 points ahead of 15th position, Regina LLADO FERNANDEZ del CAMPO (MEX). The three of them are part of a group of 6 skaters covered by 3.66 points, stretching from Alexa SEVERN (GBR) in 11th position, 2.21 points ahead of Chiara, down to Annalisa URSINO (ITA) in 16th position, 1.45 points behind Chiara.

Overall, Chiara finished 7.92 points behind 11th position, Severn, and 0.50 points ahead of 13th position, Ursino. Chiara was at the head of a group of 5 skaters covered by 1.68 points, which stretched down to Carlota GARCIA BARRANCO (ESP) in 16th position.

This was one of those surreal situations where she finished lower in the FS than in the SP, but actually climbed a position in the overall results.

I think this programme just sums up Chiara's season. It was up and down all over the place. Hopefully she will re-find her form next season, and remind us all of what she is really capable of.

:cheer: WELL DONE CHIARA!!! :cheer:
