Choreographing Kimmie

Ever hear of "painting by numbers"? Well--that's analgous to Kimmie's skating artistry. Kimmie's a bubbly young lady--happy wholesome. Why not take those attributes into consideration when choreographing? She'll probably never convince us with great dramatic expression, that is unless she heads over to Tarasova or Morosoz. Even they would probably fall short!

i actually liked Lori's work on Kimmie's flamenco number. what i didn't like is that kimmie did the moves stiffly, with no feeling in her eyes... her face was like stone except in the begining and the end(she smiles). I think that Kimmie is not a ballerina now, and never will be. Ballet lessons cannot turn her into a swan overnight. What she needs is music that she can relate to. Her exebition "angels" was actually pretty good. i would like to see her relate to the music like that when she is competing.

final advice for kimmie: don't pick music with a strong charachter or depth of emotion. Flamenco music, no. the feeling begins, no. you are just not up to it. Daphins et chole was gentle, innocent and didn't require great interpretation. maybe that's why you were able to land the triple axel in that program.

Having just seen Kimmie at Angels on Ice, I say her programs should reflect who she is: fresh-faced, clean-cut, athletic, girl-next-door. Gotta loose the giggling, though.

I would like to see her try somthing from a musical like carousel or oklahoma!.

Kimmie's skating to the "Ever After" sountrack for her FS this year which IMO is perfect. Soft, gentile, hopefully it will come out as well as her "Angels" program did.
