I uploaded all of the Dai bits/Dai's segment including "Wake up, you're dreaming" (apparently this was the Sunday matinee performance including his successful 3Lz 🤩) and part of the "Exogenesis" collab from today's terrestrial FOI-broadast on NTV:

Dai-chan having fun at Kanako's wedding 😍 (btw. Kanako revealed on her ig account that this was indeed the official wedding ceremony):

Kanako posted this zoom-in on Dai's face from the photo above with the comment "Looks like fun" 😁:

Masaya Mishima, who just won the junior section of Chubu Regionals, said in a joint interview with rhythmic gymnast Mei Tsuruta (they are both from Aichi) that he started skating, because he admired Dai-chan 😊:

- The two of you are high school students! I would like each of you to tell us why you started competing.
Masaya Mishima: I started figure skating after watching Daisuke Takahashi's performances on TV and really admiring him. This year will be my seventh year.

Tysm for sharing! 🥰

Marie keeps giving us the good stuff. In June she posted this adorable reel of her, Eliana, Kiki, Takuro and Dai-chan performing the "Irotoridori" choreo by Avecoo from Hyoen, which then became a meme with several fans and young skaters (I think mainly from the MF Academy) joining the challenge and posting their own versions of the dance (unfortunately I didn't save all of the links). I meant to post this here sooner, but there were always more "urgent" news, so this kinda fell by the wayside:

Kosho Oshima talked briefly about his participation in Hyoen/the rehearsal camp in an interview for Meisupo Web (@KiraraChin: you were correct that there was a designated practice session for active skaters during the reahearsal camp :)):

- In the ice show ‘HYOEN 2024 - The Miracle of the Cross Star’ in June, you stood on the same stage again with Daisuke Takahashi, who you performed with in ‘Kassouya’ in February.
Kosho: I was able to spend the month close to Daisuke Takahashi, just as I did in ‘Kassouya’, and I was able to see his serious side as a skater up close during the month leading up to the show, including rehearsals, which gave me a lot of motivation. During the rehearsal period, he also set up a practice time for active skaters only, and Mr Takahashi was able to take advantage of that private time. There, I saw him really enjoy himself and challenge his own limits. Even though the rehearsals were very hard and physically demanding, seeing him skating in front of us with a smile on his face and looking like he was really enjoying himself made me realise once again what kind of skater I want to become, or rather what my goal is.
-What were some of your most memorable moments and memories from the month of rehearsals and practice?
Kosho: 'I was able to skate on the big stage of Yokohama Arena for the show. I have skated at Saitama Super Arena before, but to be able to skate at Yokohama Arena, and the sight of so many spectators when I came out of the curtain, that was very memorable for me.

Today, when I visited for an interview with Skycourt, the company of Miwa Nishida, who co-starred in the ice shows ‘Hyoen’ and ‘Luxe’, I was greeted by the company staff.
I received a bouquet of flowers and congratulations on winning an Emmy Award.

The way Hyoen is the gift that keeps on giving 🥹 Such good memories for the skaters and we still get great content from it 😍

Cross-posting from Kazuki's fan fest!
Fan community run by Daisuke Takahashi and others to start in October: ‘We hope people will feel closer to us’

A collaboration of skaters from different generations has been realised to further popularise figure skating.

A total of 10 skaters, including Shizuka Arakawa (women's gold medallist at the 2006 Torino Olympics), Daisuke Takahashi (men's bronze medallist at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics), Kazuki Tomono (Daiichi Sumiken Group), who finished sixth in the men's competition at the 2023 World Championships, and Rena Uezono (LYS), the women's bronze medallist at the 2024 World Junior Championships, have joined forces to create a members-only official fan community ‘F-Ske’ on the fan community platform FANICON. The service starts on 1 October and will not only post and distribute glimpses of the skaters' true faces, but will also gradually include content from ice shows such as Friends on Ice, Hyoen and Kassouya.

Commenting on the new initiative, Arakawa said, ‘I am looking forward to sharing the time with everyone who loves skating, as they will be able to see a variety of things, from the thoughts, ideas and perspectives of each of the participating skaters on skating to their everyday lives. I'm looking forward to sharing that time with you.’ Takahashi commented: ’I'm also looking forward to receiving messages about the kind of content you want to see. I also hope that the content of the skating shop shows I produce will be posted on the website, so that everyone can feel more familiar with skating’.

I already wrote this in Kazuki's fan fest:

This sounds like a way to monetize more fan content like the Hyoen talk events and the Dai/KanaDai documentaries that were exclusively distributed via ePlus, which is fine of course – I’m willing to pay for exclusive content even though it’s pretty expensive (52 € for 3 months or 188 € annually for the premium plan), I just fear it might again not be accessible for international fans. And I wonder, if there will be less and less internationally available content as a result. I also worry that, since it's stated on the fanicon website that fskating.net "has become" a fanclub, Dai merchandise (which was sold via fskating.net) will be exclusively sold via the fanclub from now on and thus not be available via proxy shopping anymore (they already didn't sell any Kassouya or Hyoen 2024 merchandise on fskating.net). :( I hope I’m wrong and will wait for further information.

The reactions of Japanese fans on twitter are mixed - some welcome this marketing model, saying it benefits the skaters (which it does!) while others think the fees are too high or they would rather only pay for their favourite skater and not for a bundle.

Membership registration starts on October 1st via the following site:

This is the full list of participating skaters:

Shizuka Arakawa

Daisuke Takahashi

Kana Muramoto

Kazuki Tomono

Dai's, partly paywalled, advice/message for highschool students on the JS Corporation's (Nihon no Gakko) website, which provides information on universities, junior colleges and vocational schools throughout Japan:

Machine translation of the part that isn't paywalled:

Figure skating, whether single or couples, is a sport where not only technical skills but also artistic skills are evaluated. Of course, the scoring is based on the basic skating skills, with technique added to that, as well as performance and expression. I have always felt that the joy of figure skating is being recognised for your performance and being able to impress the audience. Practice is an important process for this.

In my case, until I was in high school, I would get advice and assignments from my coaches in Osaka and other places on weekends and put them into my body during weekday practice. Practice methods vary from coach to coach, but I think the most important thing is to acquire a solid foundation in skating.

(1) When you skate, you skate... Anyway, the best thing is to get used to the ice. Start by standing, walking and sliding on the ice, then learn straights, curves and crosses, and practise skating repeatedly. This basic practice may not be interesting, but it is a good idea to change the menu every day to make it more varied.

(2) Skating practice - Once the basic skating skills have been mastered, the next step is to learn the steps, spins, jumps and other skills one by one. Again, repetitive practice is important.

Apart from practising on the ice, I also did circuit training to build up my physical strength and strengthen my core. This is because it takes a lot of physical strength to perform on the ice for about four minutes, combining various techniques such as jumps and spins. I also find ballet and dance to develop flexibility and a sense of rhythm to be effective.

My final piece of advice is not to work too hard. I think that if you practise 100% every day, the risk of injury increases. So the important thing was to find the ‘breaking point’ and not to push myself too hard. I think it's good as long as you have a good feeling about yourself and are satisfied with your practice. Then failure can also lead to growth. I think failure is an important process of growth where you look back and think, ‘What went wrong?

From Ms. Sasaki's (head of the Kurashiki FSC and Dai's as well as Keiji's first coach) instagram account - the picture was taken after the opening ceremony of the R Fest on September 22nd:

It's been a long time. Three senior skaters from the Kurashiki Club got together.
Now that they have retired from active duty, they are getting together to make the national sport more exciting.

A few kids from the Kurashiki FSC performed the "Heist" choreography from Kassouya on stage at the opening event - this is so cute :

Produced by Daisuke Takahashi senior
From the number of Kassouya.
Juniors' favourite (^^)
A bold performance❣️
They wanted to dance on the ice.

On the same day before the R Fest opening ceremony there was another talk show with more or less the same content at the Okayama Takashimaya Department Store - both talk shows were organized to promote the National Sports Festival, which will be held in the Okayama Prefecture in January and February next year.

Daisuke Takahashi boosts national sports momentum in Okayama talk show episode
Daisuke Takahashi (right) and Keiji Tanaka at a talk show in Okayama City.
Misato Komatsubara (left) also appeared on the show.
Figure skaters Daisuke Takahashi (38), bronze medallist at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, and Keiji Tanaka (29), a member of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics team, both from Kurashiki City, held a talk show in Okayama City on 22 September. The event was part of the support for the National Sports Winter Games to be held in Okayama Prefecture from January to February next year, and they shared episodes from their athletic days to help boost the momentum.
Looking back on his first competition in his third year of junior high school, Takahashi said: ‘I took on the challenge unselfishly, and that led to my victory. The next day was the high school entrance exam, so I was more worried about studying for the test than the competition’, he said, eliciting laughter. Tanaka, who was a junior member of the Kurashiki Figure Skating Club, revealed that he admired him, saying: ‘I wanted to be just like him’.
As a surprise guest, ice dancer Misato Komatsubara (32), a silver medallist in the team competition at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and a native of Bizen City, also made an appearance. The three Okayama Olympians were all present, and the approximately 300 fans applauded loudly. The president of the Prefectural Skating Federation, Mitsunobu Kojima (79), referring to the excellent local environment, including facilities, in addition to the talented athletes and coaches, excited the audience by declaring that ‘we will definitely put on an ice show in Okayama within two years, with Daisuke as the main figurehead’.

A talk show entitled ‘Talking about the appeal of figure sports’ was held at the Okayama Takashimaya Department Store (Kita-ku, Okayama City) on 22 September, with about 200 people attending, in order to boost the momentum for the Winter National Sports Festival (National Sports Festival, formerly the National Sports Festival) to be held in the prefecture in January and February next year.
Figure skaters Daisuke Takahashi, 38, bronze medallist at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver (from Kurashiki City), Keiji Tanaka, 29, representative at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang (from the same city), Misato Komatsubara, 32, team silver medallist at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing (from Bizen City) and others appeared on stage. They spoke about their memories of the old National Sports Festival, and Mr Tanaka called on everyone to work together to make the National Sports Festival a great success.
Mr Mitsunobu Kojima, chairman of the Prefectural Skating Federation (representative of the Ryobi Group), who acted as host, recalled Mr Takahashi: ‘It was customary for Olympic-qualified skaters not to participate in the National Sports Festival, but Mr Takahashi used to accept the invitation to compete in the National Sports Festival.
The National Sport Winter Games will be held from 26 January to 5 February next year at the Okayama International Skating Rink (Kita-ku, Okayama City) and other venues.

As always, all the news outlets are reporting on it. I would like to highlight this article on nikkansports for Dai's comments:

Machine translation:

[Figure] ‘Kassouya’ to be performed again in Hiroshima in March next year, Daisuke Takahashi hopes ‘to be able to tour the whole country’.
[13:24, 11 October 2024]
Professional figure skater Daisuke Takahashi (38) has decided to return to the ice show "Kassouya", produced by him, for a total of six performances on 8 and 9 March 2025 at Hiroshima City's "Hiroshin Big Wave".
The show is a new type of entertainment created by Mr Takahashi and other professional figure skaters who are leading the skating world, as well as young skaters discovered/recruited by Mr Takahashi himself. The first performance was held in Fukuoka in February this year and was highly acclaimed for its new direction, overwhelming speed and beautiful, powerful group dancing. The show was also the talk of the town for its non-stop 75-minute performance, which "shattered the conventional image of figure skating".
Tickets will be on pre-sale from 12 October via ‘F-Skate’ in the membership registration application ‘Fanicon’.
◆Comments from Daisuke Takahashi
"I hope that figure skating will become more familiar to everyone, and I wanted to create an unprecedented style of work with speed and intensity in ‘Kassouya’. Now, as entertainment continues to evolve and changes are required in figure skating as well, ‘Kassouya’, which was launched with the will to take on challenges, has led to the second edition thanks to everyone's support.
Eventually, we hope to be able to tour the whole country. Kassouya is characterised by a production that cuts to the chase from a unique perspective, with high-speed circular movements, close-range crossings and novel, stylish compositions on the ice. The overwhelming sense of speed creates a powerful 360° view from all angles, which can be enjoyed even by first-time visitors who do not know the rules of figure skating.
Some of the skaters in Kassouya are current skaters who are appearing in an ice show for the first time. Creating with the younger generation gives me a chance to realise things about myself, and above all, I hope it will be a starting point for their growth. The skaters = artisans on the ice have gathered and are waiting for you in Hiroshima. Please come and join us for an unprecedented world of entertainment on ice!"

ETA: I like how this article describes the show  (it also explains the seating system/ticket categories):

Since probably not everyone checks the ice show subforum - a new Hyoen production, which will be a loose adaptation / a reimagining of the folk tale of Momotarō / the legend of Ura, which is rooted in Dai's home prefecture of Okayama, has been announced to take place in July this year. Like in the previous productions, there are a couple of well-known names involved (e.g. director Yukihiko Tsutsumi and musician SUGIZO, member of Luna Sea and X Japan) and for the first time since Hyoen - Basara, Dai will officially share the lead with another actor, J-pop idol/actor/entertainer, Takahisa Masuda:

Dai is going to portray Ura, a supposed ‘demon’ (who in the original legend of Ura, which predates the classic folk tale of Momotarō, turned out not to be a demon at all), and Takahisa Masuda plays Kibitsuhiko, the model for the character of Momotarō. However, according to the synopsis on the official website, the Hyoen adaptation will add its own twist to the legend and the classic folk tale (further details can be found in the ice show subforum).

Just in time for the start of Kassouya, BAILA homme published the following lovely photo series / interview (mainly about fashion and beauty related topics / in the 2nd part he was also asked about acting and if he would consider becoming a choreographer or coach in the future) 😊:

Part 1: https://baila.hpplus.jp/lifestyle/entertainment/69394/1

Interview with Daisuke Takahashi [Part 1] What does he do when he's relaxing? We get a closer look at his off-duty life.

Figure skater Daisuke Takahashi retired from competition in May 2023 and embarked on a new career. He has a free, flexible and mature atmosphere, but also maintains a boyish curiosity. In the first part of this interview, we take a closer look at the real face of Daisuke Takahashi in his free time.

The real face of Daisuke Takahashi in his free time

"I am living all the experiences that have made me who I am today."

Daisuke Takahashi, a leading figure skater in Japanese men's figure skating, finished his competitive career in 2023 and is now active as a professional figure skater, performing in ice shows. All his experiences have led him to where he is today.

He says: "Ice dancing is one of the experiences that has particularly changed me. When you lift a partner, you take their life in your hands, and trust is created at the very last minute. Before that I lived my life in a self-focused way, and this was a time for me to look at how I relate to others. I also learnt the importance of expressing my own opinions and listening to what others have to say."

Now that he has retired from competition, Takahashi says that rather than having more time, he is busier than ever. He says he values both the time off to relax and the time on to meet people in order to take the next step forward.

We asked him to share his new routine for leading a fulfilling life.

"I still want to focus on myself. As an expressive person, I want to keep that in mind."
How aboutre relax time?

Q: What do you do when you wake up in the morning?

A: First of all, I open all the curtains! The first thing I do when I wake up, whether it's summer or winter, is open the curtains to ventilate the room. It's nice to be exposed to light in the dark. Then I make and drink coffee and get ready to go out. I'm the type of person who wants to sleep in until the last minute, but I also want to shower, so it takes me about an hour before going out. In fact, I rather want two hours!

Q: What do you wear to bed?

A: I wear pyjamas. I'm the type of person whose feelings are switched on depending on what I wear. At night, I don't feel like sleeping unless I wear pyjamas. The pyjamas I bought in America are so comfortable that I lend them to my friends who come to stay over.

Q: What is your favourite space in the house?

A: The dining space. It's been a year since I moved to Tokyo. My current room/apartment is a one bedroom layout. I bought a low, round dining table so my feet don't swell up, and all the chairs to go with it are different colours. I love spending time there.

Q: What is your favourite fragrance?

A: Perfume by Maison Margiela. I like Maison Margiela's Flower Market. Basically, I prefer floral scents. I have received one incense and I like the rose one. I find the smell of flowers calming.

Q: Do you have a particular preference for lighting?

A: Basically, I like indirect lighting. I don't like to be lit from above, and although I have downlights, I spend most of my time in indirect lighting. Recently, smart home appliances have made it possible to change the amount of light in detail, so I enjoy changing it depending on my mood.

Q: Do you have a skincare boom?

A: I don't have a boom, but I do have a routine. Moisturising is important. After washing my face, I apply toner, apply a pack and then toner again. Oh, recently I've also started using eye cream. Dark circles have appeared and I'm trying something that was recommended to me as good for blemishes. I'm also trying MEGUMI's stretches for sagging face, which are routine for about 30 minutes after bathing. If I continue, the corners of my mouth are also improved. I realise that it's all about the muscles.

Q: What was your most relaxing trip?

A: I went to Takachiho. For the first time, I travelled round Kyushu with my good friends from university. I wanted to go to Takachiho in Miyazaki. I was very impressed with the Omikoshinja shrine by the sea, where the air was clean and clear. I love Fukuoka, Oita and Kumamoto. You could say that Kyushu is my second home.

Interview with Daisuke Takahashi [(Part 2)] When you want to look a little cool?

Figure skater Daisuke Takahashi retired from competition in May 2023 and embarked on a new career. He has a free, flexible and mature atmosphere, but also maintains a boyish curiosity. In the second part of this interview, we take a closer look at the real Daisuke Takahashi.

Daisuke Takahashi: My view of entertainment changed when I became a producer.
'It was the first time I changed my perspective on entertainment since I became the one producing it.

How about to be cool?

Q: What takes you the longest when you go out?

A: My hair takes the longest time! I want to look good before I go out, and it takes me the longest to decide on a hairstyle. I've always had naturally permed, frizzy hair, so it's a big problem when I wake up. If I'm not in the mood, I usually cover it up by wearing a hat (laughs).

Q: Do you play with your hair colour these days?

A: It's only for a limited time to coincide with ice shows. I decided to go with a high tone to match the tune I danced to at a show. I went to the trouble of bleaching my hair, so I thought I'd play around with different colours until I get a haircut, so it's pink at the moment. It's surprisingly popular. Maybe warm colours suit me better than cold colours.

Q: Do you have a favourite brand?

A: I find myself buying Acne Studios. Fashion is all about comfort, and I like soft fabrics rather than brands. But lately I've been buying a lot of Acne. I liked Raf Simons, though. I'm happy because there are so many fashionable shops in Tokyo!

Q: Do you also like jewellery?

A: I've recently started wearing accessories again. I've always quite liked jewellery, but I've been into it again for the past two or three years. I like to wear large silver jewellery, stacked on top of each other. My clothes are rather simple, so I think about adding and subtracting. As an adult, I want to be able to play with accessories.

Q: I hear you also like having your nails done?

A: I enjoy having my nails done according to my mood. Nails are also an important item to change my mood. I get excited when I match them with the show numbers, and when I do photo shoots like this, the colour changes the atmosphere. Especially on my hands, as they are the most visible part of my body, it's like a talisman to lift my mood.

Q: Do you also value time for input?

A: Watching stage performances and live shows is an important time for learning. Surprisingly, I am too busy to travel, but I try to go to live shows and performances whenever I get the chance. It's also a good reference for my own shows. A recent hit was Matthew Bourne's Romeo + Juliet, which I went to see three times. I love the world and the body movements are amazing. I also really enjoyed YUZU's live performance at the summer ice show!

"I want to push my expression as long as my body can move."

After a four-year gap, Takahashi has built a brilliant career, returning to active competition as a singles skater and challenging ice dance competitions. 2024 saw the start of his own ice show, ‘Kassouya’, as well as his first foray into acting. He is expanding his field of activities as an entertainer.

"I have been cast in the film “The City of Warehouses”, which is due to be released this year. I don't know if I'm suited for it or not, but it's a completely different world from figure skating, and it stimulated me. I reconfirmed that I like expressing myself, getting into something that is not me and creating my own view of the world. I also like to sing, which I tried in ice shows before, so I want to get better at it. I enjoy listening to music and expressing myself with my body."

He says that his experience as a commentator and reporter after his first retirement also laid the foundation for who he is today.

"As I interviewed players more and more, I learnt that there is a world behind the scenes that you can't get a sense of just by standing in front of the camera. That experience broadened my perspective. In creating ‘Kassouya’, I have come to understand how I should move with the flow of people, and I feel like I have a sense of freedom. I'm still learning again."

Many current skaters admire Takahashi's skating, which involves surrendering to the music and freely manipulating the steps. We asked him if he sees a future as a choreographer or instructor.

"I'm often asked to choreograph, but I can just give advice. It's difficult for me because I have a lot of responsibility. I think I'd rather be a coach in the future. But at the moment I'm occupied with myself. I want to concentrate on creating my own kind of entertainment. For that, it's important to meet a lot of different people. It may be a few more years my body can move. Right now, I'm just trying to ‘give it my all!’ I'm just trying to push myself to do my best."

There was an abundance of Dai news in the last couple of months. Unfortunately I did not have the time to update the fan fest accordingly. I will try to post a couple of updates (including about the Ohme marathon and the "City of Warehouses/Tales of Kurashiki" trailer release as well as the movie's preview event in Kurashiki) after Kassouya.

Flame to the Moth on the final day 💫
This is the love and passion❤️ for skating of a man who turns 39 in a week!
The enthusiasm of the audience was so intense that it drowned out the music 😭😭
Dai-chan "killing" his fans with that look right before the step sequence :dbana::

Thank you! I have missed Dai’s solo skating so much. Amazing performance ❤️❤️❤️

Yes, I think it's my favourite out of all Flame to the moth performances (including those from last year). ❤️

Here is a good quality video of Habanera + Flame to the moth from the afternoon show on the 9th (apart from putting his hands down on the 3F this was a very good one too!):

A complete video of Do it:

The fan posting the clip wrote 🫶:

It was the same after the premiere of Kassouya last time, but Dai-chan, a world-famous superstar and super-senior that everyone looks up to, bows his head and says thank you to his juniors, who are more than a generation younger than him, for creating it together with him. Every time I see this side of Dai-chan, I feel really glad to be a fan of him ✨

The skaters coming back from their lap around the rink after the last show, joined by choreographer Yuma Suzuki and Kassouya "cheerleader" Natsumi Haruse (voice actress of Inori Yuitsuka, the main character of the figure skating anime "Medalist"). Dai-chan had to steer Natsumi towards the exit as she was about to do another lap 😅:

Finally, the following is an excerpt from a Sportiva article (which was published after the dress rehearsal) by journalist Komiya Yoshiyuki:

Machine translation:

Daisuke Takahashi and his favourite skaters create a captivating entertainment, ‘Kassouya’.
March 08, 2025 18:24 Updated.
Interview and text by Komiya Yoshiyuki
Daisuke Takahashi's ‘Kassouya’ dress rehearsal report Part 1
Daisuke Takahashi's figure emerges only in silhouette in the dimly lit room. His behaviour, his posture, the angles of his fingertips, shoulders and neck. Every detail is unique to him, and above all, his skating is different from the others. Even an amateur would notice that something is different.
But this time, Takahashi had managed to transmit his own mastery of skating down to the smallest detail to a total cast of 26 people.
Kassouya. The ice show produced by Takahashi was so well received last year in Fukuoka that it will be performed again in Hiroshima. The main skaters and ensemble skaters are all mixed up. By bringing it all together, Takahashi has made the ice show into something special.
"The show is a repeat performance, but now it's in its final form. I think we have brushed up on the details and deepened the content.", at the press conference after the rehearsal, Takahashi spoke with a microphone in his hand.
"Before my solo number, there is ‘Carmen’, which was originally performed with three members, but I thought, ‘It would be more interesting to perform it with four!’ we thought it would be good to change it depending on the performance, so we thought 'shall we hold auditions?' and it was decided that the members who won the audition would skate. That raised everyone's motivation and made them more focused. That's how we kept reworking and perfecting the piece."
This can be said to be the inquisitive spirit that is typical of Takahashi, an expressive person. He is not satisfied with the status quo. He is a cheerful, mild-mannered and good-hearted person, but when it comes to creating something, he is relentless, uncompromising and stoic.
That is why his creations are entertainment that draws large crowds.
"I think people are realizing that in order to be entertaining, it's important to also have some strictness."
Takahashi said with a small smile, but all the skaters who appeared in "Kassouya" have been awakened. For example, Yuna Aoki and Saki Miyake have achieved remarkable results in competitions. Are they inspired by the high level of expression required? It's a chicken-and-egg question, but perhaps Takahashi himself is watching the skaters' performances and calling up the skaters he finds interesting.
"The criteria for skaters is ...... Last time, I focused on strength and speed (in skating). That's the main focus this time as well. Even before we started working on Kassouya, there was supposed to be a lot of dancing, so I looked for expression and strength. I thought, ‘This girl will grow if she experiences this.’ Or, ‘He seems to have something’. After watching the competitions, I put my trust in their potential. I want [them] to continue with Kassouya for as long as possible, so I'll be looking not only at the present, but also at how things will change in the future."
Even after his retirement, Takahashi's influence on Japanese figure skating as a whole is immeasurable.

Kana-chan's ig account:

A total of 26 people. Everyone completed the race safely to the end without missing a single person. ❤️‍🔥
An overwhelmingly fast and powerful group dance.
The origin of figure skating: drawing figures on the ice. These 26 skaters created figures on the ice, and the world view, music and lighting are all unique to the skaters, making this the best entertainment!
Each and every one of us had a place to shine, and we saw a new view again this year.
Thank you to all the staff, sponsors, and everyone involved, including Dai-chan and Yuma-san.
And thank you so much to everyone who came to the event. 🙇🏻‍♀️🌟
We love you all!
And we'll be supporting everyone all the way in the new season.😊💪🏻

Thank you so much to everyone who came to watch Kassouya.
Since the start of practice, it was the most time I spent with skating in my life so far.
It was hard work, but I once again realised how happy and fun it is to be seen by so many people.
And I think I fell in love with skating even more.
I can only thank Daisuke Takahashi and all the skaters for giving me this opportunity.
I will do my best to make the most of this valuable experience in competition!
We are Kassouya!
Yurina Okuno: https://x.com/yunorinona/status/1899267395946213516

Thank you very much for the Kassouya Hiroshima show!
I am so happy to have been able to perform in such a show twice in my life. I can only thank Daisuke Takahashi, Yuma Suzuki and all the people involved in this show. Thank you so much!

Tsukasa Yajima:

Thank you very much for Kassouya 2025 in Hiroshima 😭.
And thank you for all the gifts, letters and banners 😊.
I was able to complete the whole Kassouya show safely!
It was my first ice show, and it was a dream come true to be in Daisuke Takahashi's Kassouya 🥹🥹, who has the same birthday as me.
I learnt a lot from Daisuke Takahashi, Kana Muramoto, Kanako Murakami, Yuma Suzuki (choreographer) and many of my seniors.
I will do my best to perform with the seniors again as a member of Kassouya.💪⛸️

And to Yuma-chan, Haruna-san, Rina-san, Dai-chan and Kana-chan, who created such a delicate, complex and powerful show.
I spent every day impressed by the energy and enthusiasm of the five of them who led the way.
All the members were desperately trying to keep up with them.

Every moment was truly inspiring.I wondered what I could do, and seeing everyone working hard gave me the push I needed...I've grown a lot too!!This is the best team!! Thank you for everything!!!

Finally, here's Dai-chan's Kassouya résumé - he's a sweetheart ❤️:

Kassouya 2025.
Thank you very much to everyone who came to the event.
We were able to complete the show with all 26 cast members.
We managed to perform 2024 in front of you, but there was a lot of anxiety and pressure when we came back to perform it again.
We had to go many steps beyond what we did last time.
But we did go beyond, we could do it, and it was fun to spend time looking back and thinking again about what Kassouya is all about in the process of production.
I would like to thank Yuma Suzuki @yumayuma728, who is indispensable to Kassouya. She has brought a new style to the ice show and without her, Kassouya would not have been possible. As a producer, I have only just started out and had a lot of shortcomings, so I had to rely on her a lot, which I think was a big burden, but she did her best and loved the skaters of Kassouya with all her heart. Thank you.
And Haruna @harunawatanabe0212 and Rina @riiina.nn for supporting us. They did their best to support what we had in mind. I think it was more difficult than we imagined for them to spend all the time on the ice without skating.
On the skating team, there was Kana-chan @k.a.n.a.m.u.r.a! She was multi-faceted, from music editing to choreography and choreography support. And Kiki @kikinakanishi611 was great at bringing the skaters together and leading them, and Marie-chan @rimachangram helped out in areas where I couldn't give advice.
Thank you all for doing your best to support Kassouya while working other jobs.
Lastly, I would like to thank all of the skaters who participated in this event, I know it was hard to stay on the ice for so long, but they gave it their all and showed the most energetic power in front of our guests.
I was happy to spend time with these members.
And thank you to all the supporting staff for responding to our detailed requests as much as possible and making Kassouya a success.
Thank you very much.
We are still a fledgling company?! I don't know how far we can go, but I hope we can continue to show you what we want to show with our best effort, without being bound by form, feeling the current of the times and the desire to push forward.
I hope Kassouya can evolve together with you all, and I look forward to working with you in the future.
Thank you very much for the two days.

And Yuma's 🤗:

We hope you enjoyed the Kassouya Hiroshima performance 2025.
What has it been like to perform again since the Fukuoka performance in February last year?
Thanks to all of you.
Whether you came to the show or not,
thanks to everyone who loved Kassouya.
Thank you very much.
And what we couldn't achieve in Fukuoka,
we were all able to finish this time together.
Kitamura-kun and Koshiro were great.
But not just the two of you, but all of you,
They were not the faces of last year's skaters.
Individual competitions and other ice shows,
I am sure they had improved through their respective teachers' guidance and dance lessons.
Last year, I had to specify the frames and colours of the colouring book,
I was giving them instructions one by one,
Before we knew it, they were colouring in the pages without us even having to say a word,
They started colouring in colours that we had never seen before!
And they tended to stick out...
The difficult composition of the colouring book of ‘Kassouya’,
they completed it.
And then there were the six new second-year students,
they brought a variety of colours, new personalities and energy to Kassouya.
It was so stimulating that it sometimes inspired the first time students.
When we heard that we had the opportunity to perform again, we were happy, but also anxious and under pressure. I knew that Kassouya, had to exceed, not just meet, everyone's expectations.
Many times I thought, ‘Oh, this is a re-enactment!’ and I think everyone had a harder time in some rehearsals than last time because of the renewal.
And above all, I wonder if we were able to get one or two steps closer than last time to the world and work that producer Daisuke was looking for. I don't know if that's true, but the cheers from everyone at the Hiroshima performance gave me a little bit of relief, that we had a good Hiroshima performance.
And when we were recalling the choreography this time, I felt the love for dance and passion for skating in the ice choreography, which didn't miss a single nuance or sound. It's amazing.
Thank you so much, Daisuke, for inviting us to "Into the Light."
Thank you Kana and Kiki for your super support⭐️. Thanks to Haruna and Rina from the choreography team for your hard work.
You were the best and strongest team!!
And to the management staff who cared about the physical condition of the cast and supported them, and to the technical staff who responded to difficult production orders.
Above all, thank you to everyone who came to see the show.
I look forward to working with you in the future.

Moa Iwano:

Kassouya Hiroshima 2025.
We ran through the race safely.
I am most happy that we all finished the race this time!
I learnt a lot from all the skaters, the staff and everyone involved.
The show has been greatly upgraded since the last Fukuoka show, and with the addition of new members, I felt that the sense of unity has grown even more.
I will miss you, but we will do our best in our respective fields and look forward to seeing you again somewhere else!
Thank you all very much!

Kazuki Kushida:
