"Of course, I'm very happy to be back in Omsk, because I have only the warmest memories of this city, and the Arena already feels so familiar. And I think that's given me more confidence."
- "Look at the stands here; it's hard to even imagine how many thousands of spectators there are. Do you prefer arenas like this or more intimate ones?"
"I prefer skating in larger arenas, and when we were standing before warming up today, I looked straight out at the rink, looked at the spectators, and started smiling. It's great that so many people came to watch figure skating today, to cheer for me and the other girls."
- "You landed a pretty difficult jump cleanly today. How much responsibility do you feel, knowing you absolutely have to land one quadruple to nail the cascade? And how consistent is this jump for you?"
"I think sometimes it's easier for me to land quads early in the program than triples in the second half, because toward the end of the program I start to get tired, and it's much harder to focus on how my body feels. I try to focus more on quality than quantity. It's better to do a little less but cleanly than a lot but not very cleanly."
– "How will you prepare for the Russian Championship?"
"I hope I can make the routine even more challenging. I'm currently working on my triple axel. Of course, I can't do it consistently during the Grand Prix stages because I'm practicing my programs for competitions. But now I have the time, and I hope to increase the difficulty and show even more challenging content at the Russian Championships."
– "Are there any plans to include a triple axel in the short program? "
"We'll see. I don't want to predict anything. Everyone probably doesn't like it."
