Not a ton of new info, but once again I'm thoroughly impressed by his ambition and his clear goals. He wants to become even better than Daisuke and Stephane. ;) Well, in my opinion he has just as much raw talent as those two did at 17, if not more - and I happen to agree with him that they are two of the greatest of all time.

LOL, I'm really not, I swear ;) I'm FB friends with Liza Nugumanova's grandpa and he shared it on his TL (he lives in Riga).

That's Gleb Basin with them...I thought so, but wasn't 100% sure until I saw the original poster tagged him. I wonder what they could be up to?

Oh, thanks a lot, silverfoxes! A bit of a pity that I did not know sooner that they were (are?) in Riga, since I live here. Then again, what would I have done :scratch2:? I would not know what they are going to do here and where they intend/are intending to go anyway. It would be a bit stupid just to walk around the old town and the center of Riga all day long in hopes of seeing them even if I knew/would have guessed that they were going to go for a walk there.

Haha ok that is a valid explanation lol, I was just kidding though ;) Maybe Stè was there, especially to see where Deniss trains when he is back home in Daugavplis, perhaps meet his family etc. (lol now it sounds like they are going to marry :o: ) Another thing makes me wonder, Stè, always with perfect hair, could also help styling Deniss' hair? -- of course not obligatory, the boy is adorable just as he is but... just a thought :p

@lauravvv yes I feel your conflict, I had similar occasions here, several of my fav famous people were in Rome but just randomly walking around the city hoping to bump into them is like searching for a pin in a haystack!!! :roll9: you can closely follow their twitter or instagram account to get the idea of their movements but more often than not they post things when it is already too late for you to run out to the location... :palmf: Of course Riga is much smaller than Rome, so things are less hopeless though.... the best bet is to hold a vigil at the most famous landmark/tourist attraction then they would be likely to pass there at some point, but then again, if they are already in the city for a day or two, Deniss, a local, might have already taken Stèphane there...

:love::love::love: LOL, well perhaps not exactly the style Stèphane sports, not sure whether it will suit Deniss, but Mr. Lambiel is always tasteful, I would think he can come up with the style that compliments Deniss perfectly. :agree:
Deniss already made a great looking pair in KnC with Alexei, but this will be another smashing pair I am sure!!! I envy you that you will be at EC, I would still consider going to Ostrava in January, but the problem seems to be the accomodation, looks like all the possible places have already been booked, unless you are willing to trudge all the way across the city every day to get to the rink!!! :scowl:
 
I feel you there, MGstyle. I got lucky because my husband's family resides near Ostrava so we'll stay there but yeah, long commute is not something to yearn for. Although, for the price of the tickets, I don't mind that much

Pretty sure I've said this before, but it's worth repeating. He really was a huge favorite at Worlds. In fact my friend and I agreed (before he even skated) that we'd better cheer extra loudly for him, just in case there weren't many people from Latvia who had made the trip to Boston to cheer for him. Not to worry! The audience was cheering like crazy and gave him a standing ovation. Can't wait to see him and Stephane in the K & C. What a team!
 
Deniss has been invited to Christmas on Ice in Japan (16-18 Dec. in Yokohama) along with his master Stèphane Lambiel. :love: Quite possibly he will get to travel and do quite a few shows alongside his coach whenever his competitive schedule allows him. An exciting prospect both for him and fans, as long as he doesn't overdo himself!

Great news! I know he has expressed a lot of interest in going to Japan. In fact, a small part of me hoped he might get Adian's vacant NHK Trophy slot, although I know it's very unlikely with a few people ahead of him on the substitution list. But this will be a wonderful experience for him (and us ;)), no doubt.
