Deniss Vasiljevs

Deniss SP
Come on, it was his first performance of this season, he will be better tomorrow!!! He already has the air of Lambiel Jr. though!! :luv17:

Good debut for Deniss. He has good presence on the ice. Coach is super cute! :cool14:

It wasn't the best and his spins didn't get high GOE, but it will come. Hope FS will be better :)

Considering everything it wasn't such a disaster as the score might suggest. He only started practicing his triples just a few weeks ago and I don't think they came in expecting a whole lot of things, and probably that's why they scheduled Warsaw Cup for a confidence builder. I am sure things will only get better! :hap10:

I agree, I think it's ridiculous when I see comments in the competition thread already suggesting he shouldn't have changed coaches. He hasn't competed since March and he couldn't jump at all for how long? I'm sure we will see a lot of improvement as the season goes on.

I really hope he will just go out, have fun and soak in the atmosphere :clapper:

Take heart Deniss! Good GP debut! Can't wait to see more!

Yes, this must have been like a "testing the water" occasion for them (or at least according to Stèphane's plan). Clearly this was a tone down version, and his unhappy face tells about his feisty spirit. It's all good, it's all good... my faith is intact with them :luv17:;)

He said he was really tired in the kiss'n'cry. I think he just needs more mileage, more experience and his confidence will improve. It probably won't be an easy season, considering that he was injured and has gone through a huge growth spurt, but he showed that he is a real fighter and I know he's going to get stronger and better with time.

I heard him saying he was tired and wondered if he meant skating the program tired him out, or was he just tired in general? Great chance to get his feet wet and see how he would do at the senior level. You have to start somewhere! :agree:

Deniss's LP at COR Pretty good on the jumps, especially for this early in the season and after his injury. The program has a lot of potential, I think. The footwork is good and the spin variations are very cool at the end. I did not expect those positions. I still prefer both of Patrick's programs to Four Seasons, but I look forward to seeing Deniss's LP improve with time. GO DENISS!!! :cheer: Oh, and the costume is colorful and different.

Deniss is a super promising skater! I think I really enjoy his spins/expressiveness on the ice. I'm not 100% sold on his program yet, but I see the potential. :agree: Looking forward to see how he performs and develops this season!

Since Deniss' coach is Mr. Amazing Spins {:dance2:}, I look for his spins to get even better.

Today's programme was no doubt a scaled down version, because he is not yet 100% coming off his rehabilitation for his thigh injury. Watch for it to get better and better as the season progresses!!! :agree:

I just saw this...sorry for MGStyle - very disappointing, but that's life as a skating fan, isn't it? :drama:

Message for @DenissVasiljevs fans: he plans to withdraw from Warsaw cup. The issue is the clash of schedules, so no reasons to worry.

:eekn: Oh fantastic :tantrum:
I guess I wait for confirmation and then scrap my plan. I hope I won't get charged for cancellations :sarcasm:
I was a bit worried about the tightness of the schedule, he has to go directly to Japan for NHK after that, it's a long travel and I can understand. But still... :palmf:
