I'm new here, so I just saw the thread and I wanted to come and yell that I'm a huge fan of Deniss and I wish him all the best !!! I know he will do great things for figure skating, I'm super excited !!! And that's all :cheer2:

So, while in Yuri on Ice studio while Stephane was recording his cameo Deniss apparently got inspired :)

And according to Deniss` Japanese fan club he drew this

And Deniss was in the Yuri on Ice credits

And Japanese fan drew him.

And now I want Deniss to be on Yuri on Ice. I love when my fandoms meet!!! :)

Wow. Who would imagine a 17-year-old skater from Latvia, barely out of juniors, would make it into the credits of a hugely popular anime? Deniss really hit the jackpot this year!

Here are a few clips from the practice for his show in Latvia tomorrow. Check out that spiral! Many thanks to the uploader.

And best of all, his program from Christmas on Ice has finally been broadcast and uploaded for all to enjoy. Just gorgeous. He looks so polished and mature already, it's hard to believe he's just 17.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I just woke up and decided to once more check if maybe Deniss' program has been uploaded. And it was! I feel like I've received the best Christmas gift now. So sooo beautiful! What lines, what artistry :luv17: Simply mesmerizing

My Christmas gift 1: Bring Him Home program finally on youtube. Pure beauty! In this program it is evident how much he already learned from Stéphane. He pays attention to every detail of his movement, a rare quality espcially at his age.
My Christmas gift 2: It has been confirmed that he will come with Stèphane for Jukebox on Ice in Turin on 29 Dec., which I happened to be going. I am beyond excited!

Any of you going to Helsinki to Worlds? :hap10:

I'm going and can't wait to see Deniss again...Love the Bring Him Home program. Love the way he takes his time and (as several people mentioned) seems to get all the little nuances and details.

That ending spin on Bring Him Home:luv17:

I think it's a wonderful vehicle for Deniss; some skaters are born with the gift of performance, and Deniss is one of them:clap:

:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

@Arriba627 - yay, me and albalonga are going, too. Nice to know there will be other Deniss' fans from here as well :)

If you hear someone cheering extra loudly, that will probably be me. Although if he gets as warm of a reception as he did in Boston, maybe you won't be able to hear me! He was quite the crowd favorite! And this year we'll have the added fun of seeing him in the Kiss & Cry with Stephane.

TV news clip about the show in Latvia:

I don't understand what Deniss says, but I love how he's always so animated and cheerful in his interviews

He was asked about his future goals and he said that he wants to finally finish this school year with good marks and with new knowledge, have good starts in Europe and Worlds, qualify for Olympics and skate there good to put Latvia and his hometown Daugavpils on the figure skating map. With flowers he showed his gratitude to his mom Regina who brought him to that same rink 14 years ago.

:luv17:  Deniss is so lovable in every way!!! Thanks so much for translating this for us! :thank:
