Deniss Vasiljevs

I've just watched this again - it's a masterpiece! Deniss was phenomenal, (as was the pianist). @Arriba627 - I'm very envious that you saw this in real life!
It was totally amazing! Deniss was on fire and skated this program like it was the last skate of his life. His speed and ice coverage was unbelievable. During the entire show, it really felt like everyone was giving it their all and doing their best for Stephane's show. It was quite the experience, and the audience was so engaged! If you didn't watch the finale where the "boys" (Steph, Deniss, Koshiro, and Shoma) were all skating around, give it a look (in the show thread You Tube I posted -- at 1:06:00).

Deniss had the spot of honor in the show (towards the end), which I felt was very deserving considering how long he has trained at Champery.

I'd love to watch this - but I can't find the link that you mentioned - could you tell me where to find it, please, @Arriba627 ?

Yes, I'm not sure if people noticed, but the admins have kindly started a separate section on the forum for ICE SHOWS AND THEATER EVENTS. It was getting confusing having one large thread with many pages. So in that topic I started a thread for L'Apprenti Sorcier and posted the link for the entire show. Farther down, I put the time stamps for the elite skaters' skates. Enjoy!

Thank you so much! I'd completely missed the forum "ice shows and theatre events", but now that I know it's there, I'm going to sit down this evening and enjoy the whole show...what a great way to end the year!

I might start saving for the one that was mentioned for 2026 ...... it looks amazing!

Champery is a little bit of an "out of the way" place to get to, but once you're there, you're glad you're there! And you're at a rink not an arena, which makes for a much more intimate setting. For these shows, they had several rows of chairs where you were literally right on the ice. So you could see facial expressions and really get a sense of their speed...Good idea to start saving now, as Switzerland is not the cheapest place to visit, which I'm sure you already know.

I've just finished watching the whole show - I'm blown away - it was absolutely stunning - (even on my small computer monitor, with poor definition!) It must have been incredible to see live.

I've never seen Stephane skating before so it was fantastic to be introduced to his mesmerising performances.

Thanks, @Arriba627 for signposting me to this - what a treat!

Yes, I may have to rely on a lottery win to visit Champery - Switzerland is scarily expensive!

Here is the direct link @Ruthypegs, though you may have found it by now.
