Love.this post! It was the first time (2016) I saw Deniss skate. I had no idea who he was. Oh my gosh, he looks like a little kid! I guess he was! Even then, he was a crowd favorite. I think at that point he was still with Urmanov as his coach.

I watched the practice live and Deniss was great. His speed, posture is so beautiful. And his sitspin live looks even faster and more centered. It was wonderful.

Deniss getting into the karaoke was hilarious. He was so happy, and rightfully so after that awesome free skate.

Deniss was brilliant in his free skate! We did get to see him skate @ 2016 Worlds in Boston, and he made a huge impression on me even back then!
