I bought the tickets for the Europeans specifically for Ruslena and S&K (I knew Yulia would be out), then Ruslena not making the team, now S&K injured. The only good thing is that I can stop being pissed off for having to cancel the trip to Bratislava myself. hwell:

Well, I'm still going to Worlds in Boston. I live in Boston. It would be inexcusable to miss it. There will still be some exciting skating even if my favorites are not there.

I am not an American native, but I do live in Boston . I am not Russian, but I am Croatian, and I can read and understand some Russian.

My father is also Croatian! and I speak Croatian pretty well, but I can barely write it at ALL unfortunately Sorry, this is very exciting for me, I pretty much never ever meet anyone else with any Croatian heritage on the internet. I'm going to stop derailing the thread now : I am very excited for you that you will get to go to Worlds!

Does it make sense strategically at this point though? Wouldn't it be best to simply start preparing for next season? And this is coming from someone who'd love to see them skate, and well

I think they can't give up training for this season or start seriously preparing for next until they are absolutely certain they won't be needed at Worlds. As the first alternates they do have to take that responsibility seriously in case something does happen to one of the other teams who are supposed to go.

They are first alternate for Euros. They would be second alternate for Worlds, probably behind S/B, so I think depending if they do the Russian Cup Final, they can start preparing for next season.

Right, so since no one has withdrawn they're as free as the wind...It's just I don't know if all the guidelines governing the SD and FD have been published. #sitstwiddlingthumbs

I wonder if the non-touching step sequence will be introduced again for the Blues SD and if it has to be skated to another rhythm, or if the teams can do a Blues SD without a change to Swing or Hip Hop.

Agreed, these two have the potential to age nicely like fine wine. It's just the look they have on the ice. I really hope they take their time and choose something that shows off both their talents. I know that Najarro is just taken by Lena, but I thought Carmen was a better fit for them both than Frida, but what's Lena to do, she's an extraordinary skater and ice dancer. Sending them great wishes for the upcoming season.

EDIT: As for music choices, I have so many ideas but yet nothing.

I'm sorry if I am coming across as rude, but I am a huge fan of both of them and he really doesn't get enough credit for how great he is.

Anyhow, I'm not sure what I want them to skate to just yet. I think their programs may have been slightly too complicated for them to get down in the first half of the season this year, but they'll have more time to prepare. Something dancey, definitely, that shows off their connection. What do you guys think?
