An interview done with Liza at Finlandia, but posted more recently:

I think what she has to say about the 3A, and her goals regarding it, is really interesting:

Your famous triple Axel. What are the plans for this season?
I want to restore it too. I want it to become more stable. It is currently in a kind of a “raw” state. We focused more now on the basic technique, on the overall training, so I get more natural [with skating in general]. Triple Axel works for me only when I am in my peak condition, since it is a very complex element. So far with the overall training there are no major obstacles, but it is still difficult to handle the Axel, since I do not feel it yet. This season, as I said it already, I want to learn this jump by heart, so I will not only be able to do it in good condition, but also when I am in a tired state. This is the main task.

(Emphasis mine.)

I'm sad Liza won't be at GPF, but I really loved both her skates at CoC, especially that LP (so fierce! figure skating needs more dark queens and fewer pretty princesses! :P) The SP I was less sure about but I could see steady improvement from competition to competition--hopefully it'll be 100% by Nationals.

As for Cleopatra, I liked the concept but something seemed missing in execution. So I'm okay with her returning to Peer Gynt, which never got a chance due to her less-than-ideal season last year.

With how Liza talks about 3A in the LP as opposed to the SP, it seems like the challenges are due to mental blocks rather than physical ones. Since logically it's more profitable (points-wise) and less taxing (stamina-wise) to do the axel in the SP.
