Eun-Soo Lim

I'm not a huge fan of Raf as a coach, but I love the idea of Marin and Eunsoo training in the same rink. These two girls ooze so much star power and it's going to be amazing to watch the two of them develop together. They're going to be one photogenic duo:luv17:.

I’m for one excited to see Eunsoo with Raf - most of his skaters are gone I suspect so there’s a lot of room. I have never wanted Eunsoo to go to Orser, tbh I’m not that impressed by Cha’s improvement under him. Eunsoo seems to know a good bit of English so I’m not as worried about her adaptation as Marin. I would love to see the two become motivation for each other.

I agree! I posted a bit in the general thread on this topic about how Raf has actually shown more success with coaching female skaters than Orser, because outside of Yuna, his other female students haven't really been doing that well at all. If I were a female skater, I would think it was a safer bet to go to Raf's team based on actual statistics imo. I also think that maybe she does not want to be another Yuna and going to Orser only fuels the comparison. She might also prefer LA more as a location.

It's just great that she is finally training abroad because that is exactly what she needs to take her skating to the next level.

^^ if you are talking about SS improvement, I have watched Elizabet in person a couple of times, I have to say her SS is impressive, not just impressive, her are very very good, actually better than some other skaters who scores higher PCS than her. Just my 2 cents' perspective.

Eunsoo was at Long Beach with other skaters including Taichi Honda, Marin's brother. Some pics from Instastories were posted.

She'll begin training with Raf on Monday.

Has she chosen her choreographers yet? Many Raf students go to Lori for choreography which could be a great choice for her. For those worrying about her SS, Lori has been known to give advice in this area in addition to adding overall refinement.

I hope she gets a GP and 1 or 2 challengers.
Most important will be Korean Nationals, though, to get that worlds spot.

I'd say pretty low looking at the SB and WS list, but praying for at least 1 GP.😭

Can someone explain to me how this works? GP circuit is confusing to me - I know you have to get invited but is there a spot for certain countries?

I don’t think we’ll need to worry about her getting one GP at least. The real question is whether she’ll get a second one. Last season, Soyoun was around where Eunsoo is on this recent SB list, and Soyoun still got two spots even though she completely missed the second half of the season.

Also, Eunsoo has an engaging presence and personality, and she gained some international recognition the past two seasons, which I think can certainly be appealing enough for two federations to invite her.

Being coach by Raf will also definitely benefit her on this regard. And seriously, KSU should at least lift more political muscle to help her get that 2nd spot because she has great potential! :scowl: *ehem*

Why do we think Eunsoo won't get two? She's switching to seniors, she's had good finishes through the season, and IMO most tellingly, the KSU is sending her to a foreign coach.

I actually asked this elsewhere but didn't get any answer, is KSU the one who sent Eunsoo abroad or was it All That Sports? Or by "sending" it means KSU has to give consent to their skaters before they can go elsewhere? :scratch2:
