More skater news!!!

I finally got to see Evan skate yesterday. He looks great. He did a full run-through of his SP. It looks, good, a little like Carmen. He had a spanish themed SP in the past and i guess it's somthing he is comfortable with. I think it is better than "the feeling begins." Triple axel looks effortless, beautiful triple lutz out of footwork. He is working a quad toe, triple loop instead of the triple toe, but he was only able to do a 2 loop with a few turns out of the quad in the program.

i've been wondering when someone will try the 4toe/3r. It sounds like it could be the hardest combination attempted in competition to date. Perhaps after this someone will try 4s/3r.

wow, 4t/3r is definitely an extremely hard combo jump, it's very gutsy of Evan to try it. :thumbsup: did anyone else ever do it in competition before?

I laugh at the thought of his planning a harder quad combo in the short, when he couldnt even pull off a clean short program to save his life hardly ever while only attemping a triple flip combo.

LoL I'm not even a Euro--I just had a Euro coach. In the Philippines, when I learned how to skate (in our one ice rink hahahaha) we call(ed) it the Rittberger.

AFAIK no, the closest would be what Tinymavy15 said Evan is doing a 4t-2l that Evgeni did at the GPF in Colorado.

No, we won't stop . R and L are mutch more simple than your Lz and L. I always get confused by those two.

Bruce Mapes originated both the flip and toe loop jumps (in 1913 and 1920 respectively) screwed out of a jump named after him, twice! that's gotta hurt. Let's make it up to him belatedly by renaming the flip as the bruce and the toe-loop as the mapes.

no, i did not see his long, I hope my mom will let me stay and watch it somtimes soon though. Danielle Khale was there as well, being coached by Frank. I have to say that last season was probaly going to be her best. she is popped several doubles before landing a decent one and her the only triples she tried one triple, a toe loop but her hand down.
