Ok Eteri's bad coaching, Averbukhs crap programs, Dudakov's bad technic is a past. But what about that person that was making the dresses? Would she keep the collaboration , what do you think? This were good at least.
Interesting question, I wonder. I can see her keeping the same designer.

But having someone local means is easier to have fittings...

How do you know that she didn’t do exactly this? The pictures were removed from the group about 2 days after. If she was really keeping it secret how would they have known? Plus she had to work things out with Rus Fed who likely tried to mediate and negotiate with her to stay. Eteri had to know at that point. That takes time. Really it was only about 2 weeks or so between the Orser meeting and the unofficial announcement. All you are basing this on is Eteri’s claims and she’s shown herself to be vindictive. The fact that Rus Fed is being supportive indicates to me that she handled things in an appropriate manner.

As much as pure evil is Eteri now, it does not make sense to have a talk with Evgenia and then go to media, saying she dodges her,Evgenia would have easily commented on this. And Eteri admitted she heard the rumor, but did not know for sure. Anyway, the rumor started May 4, official statement was released May 7, apparently not even 2 weeks, but 4 days made big difference. Evgenia admitted in interview she knew about rumors and that they "are confirmed sometimes", yet hadn't done anything about them. Although couple of months ago her reaction to same rumors was immediate. Having apparently good support at Federation, they altogether could have put an end to rumors first day and moreover not let them happen.

Everyone should give Trankov a cookie. :hap93: The most rational guy when it comes to talking about 3rd parties. I love his gossips too.

What did he said?

Edit.

I want to act that I really like Trankov, he seems like a fun guy to hang out...

Edit 2.

Forget it, found the post, this thread move fast

That's something I agree with... If they're going to report that Medvedeva said that, they should at least keep the context in mind(After Olympics skates) and not make it seem like she was actually trying to get such a thing done a year ago. Those are two very different things(Speaking bad things in frustration with no real consequences vs actually attempting to undermine someone else).

All joking aside, I didn’t actually mind Avebukh’s programs, especially Dance for me Wallis, and I didn’t have that much of an issue with the mimed telephone (didn’t Yuzuru do the same in LGC?)

I just think they got super repetitive and I find it funny that he thinks Orser is a choreographer lol

On FS Universe Muffinplus has translated into English an interview with Maxim Trankov:

•History has shown that in Eteri Georgievna’s group, when a new star comes along, the old star is no longer needed. At first it was Polina Shelepen who got all the attention and who won everywhere. Then it was Yulia Lipnitskaya, and after Evgenia Medvedeva appeared. And right now it’s Alina Zagitova. Zhenya doesn’t want to repeat the path of her predecessors and finish her career, so she made the only decision that made sense for her – to try and continue her career in another coaching team. I think this decision not to hang up the skates and to continue skating should only be welcomed.

There is also one other very important thing – Eteri Georgievna never worked with adult athletes, she is a coach whose main specialty is coaching young girls, and Zhenya is a mature young woman. Eteri Georgievna is A+ when it comes to coaching junior girls who become Olympic champions, but they are still juniors. As for what results she will have with an adult skater – we don’t know.

•Eteri Georgievna is a tough coach, naturally. I know Zhenya well and I know that she is an intelligent, measured and polite individual. Intelligent beyond her years. So I don’t understand why it was necessary to make public on National TV private conversations. There is always a trust between an athlete and a coach, you tell them things you wouldn’t tell anyone else. Maybe things you wouldn’t even tell your mom but you would tell your coach because of how much time you spend with them. And in this situation, to air everything out for public judgement, despite some misunderstanding that happened, is not really right. We had some differences with Nina Mikhailovna Mozer, but she never allowed herself to air our private conversations in public. I don’t want to think about who won this media war, but personally, I didn’t like hearing about personal business of a coach and an athlete on National TV.

Eteri Georgievna is a Southern, hot-blooded temperamental individual. Maybe after some time she will cool down, as for Zhenya, I’m sure she never had a fight with anyone. I don’t have any reason to think she has any ill will towards her coach. I’ll repeat – Medvedeva is a very reasoned, balanced, tactful individual. By the way, were just at show in Korea together, where Orser was also present there.

She will never be rude. I don’t know a more decent person in skating than Medvedeva.

Some of the highlights from the block of text.

Trankov doesn't really impress me most of the time, but these are some good insights.

Yulia wanted to change coach and was forbid. Yulia was forced to stay at Eteri club until she could not stand it anymore and stopped coming to the rink on her own. Just saying politic inside Russian fed is more complicated than that.

it's so complicated that they let her go without any visible problems LOL

I kinda get why Aver was miffed by that part, but he's really blowing Orser's statement out of proportions. He wasn't throwing that much shade. And come on, Eteri's team never once hid the fact that their skaters aren't the ones deciding the program. Except that one time with Yulia. Neither do the skaters themselves. Everyone talks about it very openly, it's just the way the team works.

Well, again we are forgetting that Medvedeva changed her FS from Leftovers to Anna Karenina this very season...

And well, I can sort of understand why Averbukh would feel offended by such a statement. Although I'm not exactly a fan of his... By the way, miming definitely is choreo, come on.

Are you here to discuss or make statements on Evgenia? I haven't seen anything meaningful.

I think Trankov provided good insights on coach-athlete relationship. I am not always happy with his comments but I agree, given that it is such a close relationship, respecting the privacy of each is important.

That was also Eteri's decision, at least according to Eteri in the Japanese documentary. Not even saying it's a bad thing, honestly. I do believe Med got to have more input than the younger girls, but overall Eteri and her team making all the big decisions regarding the choreo is just the way they work.

Pretending to be Medvedeva's fanatic:
"this is an inconvenient moment, we can just ignore this or misinterpret it the way we want because it contradicts our agenda"

By the way:
Evgenia to Orser: "I don't want to say anything bad about my previous team. Buuut... they didn't let me choose programs/music!" :laugh2:
"In my previous coaching group, they decide everything for me from music to choreography and dress." Problem? It's on you.

I don’t know how it’s good for Medvedeva to have all her new team relentlessly bashing big stars of Russian coaching which also attacks Russian Federation! I mean is Medvedeva going to be representing Canada?

Bashing would be Orser calling out Averbukh's "choreography" for what it actually is: pile of garbage.

Some posters here clearly don't understand the definition of "bashing".

The only moment where Borser addressed choreography subject was to say that Wilson was gonna to work with Evgenia. He hasn´t made any more comments, unless you have something else, care to share what comment or the source of the bashing? Thank you in advance.

That’s not an insult or gossip, it’s a fact. Alina has, if I recall correctly, acknowledged the same in the past.

It’s also relevant information for Orser to have, as developing your programs is a skill.

That’s not bad? It’s just a fact, which Alina has acknowledged as well if I remember correctly! It makes sense bc they are used to working with girls who are super young. It’s not a bad thing, she said “they were used to doing this, now I want to try something different “

I feel like as far as rebuttals to "she didn't pick her own music" saying that one time she did is kind of the exception that proves the rule.

TBH, the repetitiveness seems to be a major issue for most top choreographers, specially considering the skaters skillsets.
I mean, Lori re-using choreo is a common place and so on. Others probably do it too.

Averbukh was just unfortunate to have a skater win several times in a row with his choreo =P
