Well if she works with Jeff it would be nice because they will be touring together for a while and will have time in between shows to work on the program.

I'd be so delighted...
She will work with them for the shows and maybe relate well for future programs.
I believe that Shae is the choreographer for the Korean show and Jeff for CSOI. So she will have to work with them!

I really like some of Jeff and Shae-Lynn’s programs they’ve done for others in the past! Excited to see what they could come up with for Evgenia. One of my faves from Shae-Lynn is Wakabond.
Is it just me or has David Wilson’s choreo been very uninspired lately? I thought the FP tango could have been better choreographed or had more in it. But I still absolutely loved it because it showed off how much more mature Zhenya is. She was so elegant and mature, especially compared to some of the younger skaters! Also compare Rika’s SP and FP. David Wilson did her SP while someone else (Tom) did her FP. The FP was so much more unique and inspired. Wilson does Mai’s programs as well I believe and while she is such a beautiful skater (I do love her), the programs are kind of generic. Hopefully Zhenya goes to someone else for choreo next season.

I think David Wilson is overused - he choreographed so many of the Japanese ladies' programs this season (which also speaks to his reputation and quality of work). I think Evgenia needs a fresh choreographic point of view. Shae-Lynn and Jeff would be a dream. Like I noted before, Lori would also be ok with me.

Jeff isn't skating in SOI this season, due to injury. So he probably won't be touring the whole time with them.
I don’t think David Wilson is overused.
He choreographed ,with Marie France, Moulin Rouge for Virtue Moir.
I love his choreography for Roman Sadovsky...Fly me to the Moon.
He really needs to understand his subjects. Now he has a whole year to know her it could be very good.
Also the Canadian way is usually to add complexity as time passes. This is a joint effort of student, coach and choreographer. However Zhenya was not used to this. Her training was based on repetition. For the two to come together in such a short time frame with the stress of all the changes must have been incredibly hard for her.
This year her back may be healed. She is used to life in Toronto and the training style in TCC.
She has a wonderful cohort group who trained with her. She has matured from young girl to young woman. Her choice of dress at the gala was so mature and elegant. Her skating, I believe, will be the same.

I wouldn't say unispired and I grew to love the tango. In my opinion, it just needed a lot of precision and polish and just didn't look good while Zhenya still struggled with everything else. Once she got back her confidence, the tango really started to shine. My big disappointment with David Wilson this season wasn't Zhenya's FP, but Jason Brown's FP... now that one really seemed uninspired and weak, especialy next to Jason's incredible SP. But I really want Zhenya to try out a few different big name choreographers and I suspect Misha Ge will probably do a Short for her again, since they're really close and get each other so well. So for the Free, I'm also voting David Wilson out and Shae-Lynn in

The plus side to Zhenya using DWilson was that TCC was his home ice so they could work together on it throughout the season but it seems like he is never at TCC anymore therefore her programs were not allowed to grow as they should've.. The most interesting choreographers to me are also Shae-Lynn and Buttle. Lori and Marie France could be good choices too.

He normally skates in SOI Japan and Canada, so he's travelling with them. But he isn't this year. I would be surprised if he travels with SOI Canada the whole time just because he's done the choreo - he's also choreographed SOI USA which is happening at the same time, so why would he travel with one and not the other for a whole tour? He'll be around for the beginning of the tour for sure, but probably not the whole month like he would if he was performing.

Oh, I remember the discussion. They had some very dramatic sounding theories about some sort of a power struggle between him and Brian, as the TSL guys always do. The truth is probably simpler... something like they decided not to introduce any more changes to the jumping technique during the season or even any more new coaches she'd have to get used to, since Zhenya had enough on her plate already. Or they decided it's best to bring her new basics to a certain point before Ghislain starts with his work. If what TSL said is true and Ghislain really works with all of Brian's skaters, there's a good possibility he'll start working with Zhenya in the off-season as well, especially if she plans to work on a quad.

I hope Zhenya does OCS is a show over the summer, because although it didn't work for her in competition, I think it had potential and I'd like to see it again in an ex with less pressure. On another note, will Zhenya do 3F-3T in her fs next season? She struggled with it earlier in the season, but at worlds and rcf it was good, regardless, I hope she does a -3lo combo, right now 3s-3lo is working best, but maybe she will try a 3f-3lo in the near future. Whatever happens, I can't wait to see what Zhenya does and where she goes next season. Go Zhenya!
