I think Ilya could make a gorgeous SP for Zhenya. I love the SP he did for her Olympic season and I think his style could match Exogenesis very well. I would love to see Jeffrey Buttle do her free.

Hmpf still might be that he's not speaking of competitive programs but sure sounds like it. Really hope it's the short, would also fit the timing of when the music was announced. I'm not crazy about the idea, but not against it either.

And just as an aside, Aver is such a master of flip flopping, he could get an Olympic medal for that as well. So now that Zhenya wants to work with him again, she has made great progress in her skating after all, huh? 😅
 
I was always thinking it would be great for her to work with ilia again but was not impressed with the comments he made about her recently.

That shade of red is stunning with her hair & skin tone combo. Also we can really tell that she’s gained muscle tone & can really fill out that dress now.
 
Not to mention she likely is the breadwinner for her family and she doesn't have much prize money from competitions this year-- and training with Orser as well as securing her future is an issue that she must be considering as well.

At the end of the day, I see Zhenya as a sensible and responsible girl who knows herself best.

Comments like "Now I'm not so hopeful because Zhenya's doing so many ice shows" is not exactly befitting her fan fest, is it?

I don't see Rika's fans saying "what are Rika, V/M, P/C, Saton and others thinking doing all these shows? Do they not care? I'm no longer hopeful for their upcoming season."

Evgenia is not out all day partying and being irresponsible. Give her a break.
 
Well prize money in figure skating is a joke anyway. I think they knew they could afford it before making the choice to move to Canada. Zhenya is very smart.

She looks absolutely stunning in red!!!!!!
 
If she does one/both of her new programs on some of these later ice shows, I think it would be to her advantage, actually. Let's hope. :pray:

Yeah, exactly :sarcasm:

I'm not quite sure about him doing a competitive program again for Zhenya. My favourite program of Zhenya is without a doubt WE, which he choreographed. I also liked his programs from the 2016-2017 season except for the beginning and the end, that is: the miming parts. I can even tolerate the controversial voiceovers in her fp.

However, if he does Zhenya's choreo for next season I hope he is way more inspired than in the Olympic one: her short program was ok but I think it still lacked the wow factor and the leftovers program... "Only the dress was pretty" as Zhenya said.

Still if Zhenya wants to work with him, I'll support her in this decision, as she must
have a good reason. She now has more control on her programs than before and that can be a positive factor.

Really? Her SP at the Olympics is one of my favourite and I liked the leftovers music more than Anna K. I guess, it only shows how subjective figure skating is.

Well prize money in figure skating is a joke anyway. I think they knew they could afford it before making the choice to move to Canada. Zhenya is very smart.

Agreed. And no way money is tight. I'm pretty sure she does very well for a figure skater in the prime of her career. We can only hope her injury won't impair her long-term offseason training and the shows will go fine with no pain to her quad or hip. If Evgenia has some pain she should not do any of these shows.

I was disappointed with the music cuts in the leftovers. That doesn't mean I liked much more Anna K.
My favourite program as I said is WE, it's the one that I always go to rewatch, and Averbukh choreographed it, so I have hope.
But as you said, it's very subjective.
 
From the outside, it definitely looks like she's doing too many shows and not enough training, but remember when she stayed in Russia after Nationals and everyone questioned it? It seems like it was a fine thing to do. I do wish she at least had more time to work with Tracy while she can't jump, but there must be some justification for what's going on.

Ashley did say that. And Zhenya is still skating and keeping her elements she can train fresh.
