Evgenia Medvedeva

Yeah I'm also sad we won't get to see these programs again. Geisha was so perfect, it would be a brilliant Olympic program! But I understand why she likes to try new things every year so I'll look forward to Alegria.

I know she won't do it but man I'd love her to bring Muse back and just rework it a little. She already performs it beautifully but I think it could be truly magnificent if they had just placed the elements in a different order. For one thing I would have had her do a spin during the bridge right before the lyrics start, so when he starts singing "Let's Start Over Again..." that's when she begins her step sequence. And to maximise her scoring potential, I would have her backload the jump combo and do it to "We'll get it right!" (At the end of the StSq) just because that would be so epic and musical!

So basically I'd reorder the elements as: 3Lo > 2A > Spin1 > StSq > 3F+3T (Bonus) > Spin2 > Spin3

Just a thought I was having, sometimes I choreograph for Zhenya in my head lol! I'm sure I'll love whatever she does next season! Really hope she does a Senior B cause having to wait until September to see her compete again makes me sad, sounds like she has a lot of commitments though. I never commented on the boot situation at Nationals cause I figured everyone was depressed enough without me adding to it. I'm just glad to see her happy performing Wizard of Oz!!

Great post. :). And I want the Geisha program for the Olympics, too.

Oh no. They really always looked like plastic skates or child skates. And they are obviously not very reliable. I am worried
How do they look like child skates? Absolutely not, and why should they not be reliable? She has been skating in those for her entire career if I remember correctly. Edea piano are one of the really good skates if I am not mistaken.

Apparently Medvyedeva's open skating lessons today didn't work out very well because there were too many people on the ice: https://zen.yandex.ru/media/lifeint...isportili-trenirovku-5e15a8493d5f6900b6bfc039 ?

The crowd seemed more interested in taking pictures than paying attention to Yevgeniya's lessons:
- Bend your knees, and not try to keep them straight all the time.
- Do not bend your torso towards the ice while sliding
- Learn to feel the balance of your body when skating on one leg.
- For balanced riding you need to work both your legs.

It looks like everyone had fun.
