【モスクワ時事】日本とロシアの友好を深めようと、モスクワで毎年開催されている日本文化フェスティバル「Ｊ―ＦＥＳＴ」が１５日、オンライン形式で始まった。昨年は約１２万人が訪れたロシア最大の日本文化フェスだが、今年は新型コロナウイルスの影響により形式を変更。伝統文化からポップカルチャーまで多彩なプログラムを３週間にわたって展開する。

I imagine those are two clips that have a very strong emotional resonance for her fans - we all know how she skated that day, how she left her heart on the ice. It's as though she's been chosen to portray the emotional heart of this competition, because her story is so compelling; the other clips show us athleticism, excitement, the current coaching rivalry, but Evgenia shows us the passion of the skaters. Also, the clip of her hugging Eteri possibly underscores the idea that she has come home?

(Just trotting out my dusty literary/media interpretation training for some long-overdue exercise here - you are always more than welcome to disagree!)

Favorite SP: Tosca (and River Flows in You. I learned to play it on piano after seeing Zhenya skate to it 🤭 )

According to "SE", the headquarters of Evgenia Medvedeva and the figure skater hope to take part in the fifth stage of the Russian Cup in Moscow in early December. Medvedeva has not yet fully recovered from her back injury, but there are almost three weeks left before the Cup, and the decision to participate in it will be made before the competition.

The general director of the federation, Alexander Kogan, told SE that details about Medvedeva's condition will be announced tomorrow, as part of an online press conference before the Grand Prix stage.

You were faster than me, I just wanted to post it :D

I am glad Zhenya plans to go the 5th Cup if everything goes well. Let's hope for that :pray:
 
well.. I'm sad because of the withdraw because that means she is really sick and eteri won't put her a risk ... maybe for the 5th stage or nationals ... or maybe is better getting surgery,forget about this season and focus on the next season
 
It's going to be an unpopular opinion but if there is a season to miss all the competitions, it's this one. Euros aren't going to happen. Late-season Challengers aren't going to happen. Worlds aren't going to happen. There is a high chance that Beijing won't happen in 2022. RusFed is not stupid enough to withdraw funding from athletes that don't go to RusNats this year.
So better relax and cure that back injury now.
