Zhenya used to say that only a gold matters. She doesn't want to be no. 2. Eteri couldn't guarantee her return to the top of the podium after EC (and she cannot do it in the future, with so many strong ladies in her team), so Zhenya must seek other opportunities. Yuzuru switched to Orser not because he was doing poorly under his previous coach, but because he saw how Javi's skating had easily improved under Orser (not to mention that Yuzu was injured as Zhenya was but he managed to win OGM). There are some aspects of Zhenya's skating that can be raised to even a higher level. If she feels that her cooperation with Eteri went to the limit, the decision of leaving is understandable. Guess what? If I was Eteri, I would suggest switching myself... It's a win-win solution.

I think since she’s so determined to continue and since the only coach that can be considered as good as Eteri/an improvement is Orser I think it’s the most likely choice... we’ll see

I don't think she will switch to Armenia if she can keep her consistency. Russian backing is still better for her.
The director of Sambo is pretty much a reliable source, i'd say.
Well good for her, because russia has a lot of upcoming talented juniors wanting to have a spot on Olympic 2022, it will be hard for her or even alina to be russia#1&2,though time will.
It's simple... Evgenia blames Eteri for not winning the OGM.
