Evgenia Medvedeva

Considering Averbukh’s previous comments, I don’t believe a word out of his mouth:disapp:

But I am glad that he and others are directing their misplaced and unwarranted vitriol to Brian, who is tough, can take it, does everything to protect the skaters in his care, and could care less what anyone says about him, because he’s all about his skaters.

And Zhenya’s fans are all about supporting her and her choice of coaches, particularly in her Fan Fest ::hap10:

What are you talking about? Of all the public figures in both countries, Brian received the least criticism.

This thread is not about calling out [ETA: Zhenya’s current]coaches.

This thread is about supporting Zhenya and her choices, including the team *she* has chosen to train with:agree:

Her 2A is a very noticeable improvement. It's strange because she's always struggled with it but in all of the warmups and in her programs at the test skates (besides one time) it looked like one of her easiest and better jumps. I wonder what they did? It must've been a small change that made all of the difference.

Yup, I remember she called it her least favourite jump and rarely did it during warm ups. This time she was clearly eager to show how much it improved, and for a good reason. I don't know how fixable her lutz is, but the axel gives me hope!

It'd be wicked cool if they eventually want to set her up with a 3A and 4S to be competitive with the upcoming juniors. It'd be insanely difficult, but one can dream, eh?

That would be great! It doesn’t sound to outlandish to think that might be one of her longterm goals. [emoji106]

I noticed a tiny improvement during the test skate videos but in practice her 2A has improved a lot!! No wonder there was so much behind the scenes buzz about Brian fixing her axel so fast. I kind of thought it was a hyperbole but it’s smoother and covers a bit more distance. We expected no miracles in 1.5 months but this is great. I’m sure it will only get stronger from here
