Evgenia Medvedeva

The link isn’t loading for me. I think it might be a location issue. Thank you anyway though! :)

The second one works! Thank you so much!

No he deleted it :/ that is why it no longer works. It think he deleted it because the logo of his channel was in the middle if the screeb the whole video long, so one could not see Zhenya completely.

Great the second one works :)

My goodness, what a practise. That 2A-3T combo could make you cry with happiness. How beautiful. Only good vibes for the real thing. God I hope she competes with that same fierceness in the free skate.

Is that me or she reverted back to the SCI layout for the first jump? (At Grenoble, she started with the 2A...)

Sadly, good practice sessions currently aren't indicative of a good competition for her. Her practice sessions have been nothing but great throughout. Well, let's just hope that she can skate the way that leaves her happy with herself. You can do it, Zhenya!

I wish she spoke to Eteri and the girls from Sambo last night. She needs to clear the air there. Walking away without saying good bye could be part of the mental block she has, especially when they are on the same ice. If she doesn't approach them, I hope that Eteri and the girls would approach her to tell her everything is ok an she should look forward. It must be burdensome to try to avoid each other at competitions and EM doesn't need that extra stress. I think everyone here underestimates what a big part of her life that team was; she seemed truely happy and established there every time I saw her in documentaries, interviews. That broken relationship needs to be mended for her to move on. What's eating Evgenia right now could be as simple as guilt or regret, which are both devastating. Besides, unlike Orser, Eteri knows how to help EM with the nerves. I was really hoping that Eteri would talk to her last night to help her regain confidence. Regardless how Eteri is portrait as a heartless monster, I am sure she also suffers watching Evgenia like that. After all, she worked with her since she was a child and helped her grow, develop and win. I hope both sides find strength to talk to each other, forgive if anything needs to be forgiven, and move on.

I don't really think that that's what she needs. Besides, it will never ever happen. I'm glad that at least TAT was there today as extra support, although it looked a bit weird how she was there as if her second coach.

Off topic: Are you an Ed Sheeran fan? (asking because of your username ) Oh and, welcome to the forum ^_^

Runthrough: 3Lz3T, 3S3Lo, 3F3T2T, 3Lo3T, 2A3T(rippon), 3F, 2A

If anyone needed any further proof that the problem here is 100% a mental block and not bad training\deterioration.

I hope she will go out there and fight, not for to make the team but for herself. Good luck Zhenya

Why would she want to talk with that woman who's the reason she's getting this amount of hate from the media and many RUS FS fans? This is not some sappy Kdrama this is real life and that woman did everything she could to ruin her reputation

Thank you! It seems like a great forum, have been reading it for a while before I got the courage to post :-) No, the name is in honour of Lipnitskaya's SP in 2016, Rostelecom event, which is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. The song has been in my head for months, ever since I saw that video.

However, coming to a Medveda's thread, I should have probably called myself "Kukushka" :-) This February I accidentally saw her on the Europeans gala and she swept me away. That's how I became interested in figure skating and couldn't believe the drama that followed. I was actually trying to sleep and let the gala run on TV because of the music and I thought it would be boring, but EM really woke me up! The presenter announced her as the queen who has lost (got silver) for the first time and she was so emotional - there was beauty, pain, but also huge courage, determination and fighter spirit. So I said to myself, "Ok, this girl hates to lose. I have to see the Olympics now and how she fights!" Now, only 10 months later, I know every female skater and even distinguish the jumps :-) What I am saying is that there is something very special about Evgenia and I really hope to see her regain her confidence.

Indeed! I watched the video, she was really going all out :) I hope she can bring it to the actual event. She seems to be getting more confident with the program, I hadn't really felt the tango before, but she had the fire here.

Go Zhenya!

Rippon is back!! I wish she would do it more often, she had such a beautiful rippon 3T in combos.

Christmas miracle?
I’m not going to pretend I agree with everything Eteri does as a coach. But it would be nice for Evgenia and the whole of Sambo to forgive and forget.
Oh, I do wish this will eventually happen someday, down the road, as well. But not today, the scars are still too fresh to be healed so quickly.

The outcome at Pyeongchang brought that relationship far down south (even to abysmal depths!), that only time and long-term success will prevail and vindicate.
