This wasn't her perfect performance but was definitely a huge improvement: a beautiful 3Lz, spins and step sequence level 4...
I had to be careful today not to celebrate too loud during the numeric calculus class
It's good to see her back on the top of the podium again, enough with the suffering!
The question is: can she still make it to the worlds?

Oh boy... now figure that one out, Rusfed. I was able to watch only about 10 seconds of it, looking forward to the whole thing.

This is a hard decision honestly. Liza is deserving of that spot too. Thing is, if we take into consideration the results from Rus Nats, these two scored more in total than any other senior in the event. So it's quite messy if you ask me.

I thought Liza was going to win cos Liza landed her 3A but Evgenia's SP score helped her beat Liza by 1pt

Not going to lie, and I know I should never count her out, but I thought her worlds chances were truly done for after she fell on that combo. But no she is a fighter, that fighting spirit is well and truly back and I hope this gold medal is a reminder that she is still more than capable of beating her competitors. I am so extremely happy and proud of her! I was half expecting her to tag a jump on the end of another near the end because she was fighting so hard for it!

I'm shaking a little bit.

I'm so, so happy Zhenya gets to walk out with that gold medal. I don't know if this guarantees her a spot at Worlds since she and Liza were so close but it honestly doesn't matter to me, she did her best and she proved she still got what it takes to be a champion.

I'm so proud of her.

Love how happy Zhenya was even with a fall! The fall was unfortunate but still her best performance of the program thus far.. Hope she's so happy with her win!!!! Now the rest is up to Rusfed, she did what she could and can go home proud
