Evgenia Medvedeva

If she didn't fall it's 226p. Trusova won with 229 at Rus Nationals 2019. Now imagine if Evgenia improves her spins. Just wait, she will win a lot in next 3 years

Hi everyone, this is my first post here! :)

I'm really happy about Evgenia's results today. Tbf, I don't know if I would send her to Worlds instead of Liza, but that's not really up to me and honestly I'm going to be happy whatever the decision is going to be.
Anyway, I'm really glad that she was satisfied and happy with what she put out there today. During the SP she still seemed a little nervous, but skating clean clearly did her good, because today it was like she was back to her old self. She seemed really confident and sure of herself and for once I enjoyed her FS, even with the fall.
She really proved she's not done or whatever people said about her during this months. Like Tracy said, she's a fighter! :luv17:

Congrats to Med, well done. No matter how the selection process goes she should be proud of herself. Yup she delivered!

Remember that Brian said the adaptation would take at least 1 year. In my opinion, changing the technique confused her and led to basic mistakes. What I saw today was a consolidation of her spins and the 3Lz.
After the transition period is complete, her goe will increase and so will the PCS ( She got 74 today, which is lower than her standards).
The mistake today was more "professional" rather than fundamental.
There is only one way for her scores now: upwards.
Here in her fan fest I can be as optimistic as I can get: GO ZHENYA!!!

Yay first post. Welcome to Evgenia's fan fest. Post often. :)

i am beyond thrilled for Zhenya!!

this season has been such a journey for her and seeing it pay off in results like this when it matters is everything i could have hoped for her! no matter what happens with the worlds places she can be beyond proud of herself!

those programs were such a joy to watch, you could see her confidence shining through again, especially in the FS step sequence (which is slowly becoming one of my favourite moments from her! when the music kicks up a gear and she starts to really sell it, wow!! makes me smile like crazy every time!!)

i am SO happy right now :yahoo:

I'm so happy, god! Even after the fall, she smiled and went with more energy to the rest of the program. She skated with energy, pleasure and with the audience. She fought to the end for every element. I am proud and madly in love her for it! She needs this victory in order to find and feel self-confidence again.:yahoo:

Well, I'm very happy with this.

Sincerely, if you asked me, I would leave Alina home, and send both Liza and Evgenia to WC. Alina can use the time to figure things out, rest, etc. since she had all these pains...

a lot of people in the comments are mad that EM got first place over ET cause she fell. I didn't see FS. Any truth to that?

I mean, to be fair, both did fall once in the competition. Liza did have a higher FS score (makes sense, she landed the 3A), but Zhenya’s cushion from the SP gave her 1.5 more points in the total score. I don’t know how these skates would’ve translated internationally but in my opinion, the score difference is not something I find to be outrageous.
