Puberty is something out of control for everyone, we can only hope things will be fine for her, and so far so good.

As for the other factors you mention, she's free to live her life the way she wants to. If you don't like it, that's not her problem. She's not a robot and can enjoy life her way. Not wanting to have only figure skating in her life is perfectly normal.
And if things don't go well this season, well, no one is perfect, bad things can happen.
 
Bad news? I'm happy for these young athletes! They deserve a life off the ice. Let them be young and make experiences. I am very sure that they know how to balance skating and a private life!

It's obvious she is going to be defeated next season. A factual observation: She is human and we have plenty examples to relay on. All those things that come with fast success and teen years are going to have a ridiculously huge impact. She is an amazing skater with an amazing personality, and looks, but that doesn't prevent reality from being always unforgivable. :palmf:

I dont get her first moves on the ice but overall that was superb. much better spins and jumps so nice and high (except axel). I wonder when Zhenya will start jump quad salcow because if you want to rule world you have to beat yourself and step higher and higher everyday. or every year in case of figure skating

Quads are forbidden at women in SP. If only in LP.

They need to really rethink the beginning... I think I kind of get it but I also think there's not much chance anyone else does.

I think she will never jump quads (trixel also not). For that she would have the legs as Wakaba has :)

you need to have big powerful legs like Wakabas or lean muscular long legs like Tsurakaya to get those quads.

Nope. Big powerfull legs like Liza Tukt has or Higuchi will help only with power jumps like 3axel. but for quad jumps those legs are too heavy. Evgenia or Polina legs more lightness and they have much more speed on their jumps. and that will be pretty enough for the quads.

AS: Would you call the style of Medvedeva's new programmes a continuation of the previous ones?

Averbukh: Let me put it this way: it's not an exhibition, we have points to gain. The result depends on how well the elements are executed. We tried different styles with Evgenia. We tried a tango, a space diva from `Gravitation'. And came to a conclusion, that today Evgenia's current characters are organic for her. She feels comfortable there and lands the jumps. Yes, everyone wants a constant change. But I don't think putting a different colour costume and skating to a happy music would do the trick. She has to get there. So yes, for now it's a development of the style she had last year. But, in my point of view, the programmes are more complicated, more interesting and complex.

Evgenia's only character is to be a charming ice ballerina... and the LP for this year fails this test because there's no charm in it.

There's either a case of Yulia envy for Averbukh is getting too creatively uncreative or both... even if my music selections sucked, something like a "dark" alice in wonderland would have been a better fit.

If I were them I would seriously consider changing the LP.
