I can understand not liking the skating, but with many the hate goes beyond that. I find it bizarre that people hate such young skaters.

Eurosport didn't air it, they only showed the Men's SP but they will show the Ladies' Free though! Don't think NBC has aired it either, maybe later tonight. IN had no commentary I think?

Totally agree - and I'd also add, keeping an open mind about skaters other than your favourites means that you can get something out of every competition you watch, even when your fave bombs. Yuzu's my favourite skater, but the skates I rewatch from Boston 2016 are Javi's FS and Deniss's SP.
 
You'd think haters would get used to it by now....
Literally every competition Evgenia competes in, the thread turns into the same discourse. Every time without fail.

Anyway Evgenia was wonderful today as always, I didn't even mind the ending this time. Maybe some landing weren't as smooth as they usually are? I don't think it's anything to worry about though.

Then the second one is a bloodthirsty tiger drinking in on its prey's blood. She's never been like that before.

In the interview linked above she said: "Frankly, I never complain, but skating today was difficult - not physically, but mentally. It needs some corrections. - Is that what you discussed in kiss&cry? - No, there are many other nuances that we need to fix in the short program, and I hope in the next event I will be in a better shape."

There's always room for improvement as she said))).
I like this attitude.

LOVE her attitude. I could definitely tell she was a bit more tense than usual today, a bit 'meaner' - she's so self aware for being so young!
 
She's indeed more beautiful with her mouth closed.

But I know that even the strongest people have their limit. I don't want Zhenya to actually try to find hers. I wish we could support her somehow.
 
beautiful Evgenia! I think it's true that she was a bit nervous, in the photos of the practices she looked rather pale and haggard, I hope she is not sick.


I love this SP, her body language is more defined now, I like that the accents of music match their steps and trancisions, it's a very good program, it's very well thought out.


I can't wait to see the FS tomorrow!

Absolutely agree, Zhenya was a marvel in this program, the first time I saw it at Ondrej Nepela, I rewatched a dozen times, it was just breathtakingly light and delicate.
I don't bother with the haters comments, they only pick on her because she is on top.
