Evgenia Medvedeva

Wait, if I’m understanding correctly, she’s only got a week of training before nationals? I’m not expert, but I’m not sure that’s enough time. I hope it’s not true.

Ugh, as if I needed more anxiety :(

Ladies SP is 21/12 (Friday), so actually it's less than a week. Surely I won't watch it live or I gonna die of heart attack.

I don't think it's totally true. :scratch2:
Evgenie herself said that her cast was removable and she trained but there was no physical stress on the right foot but she was able to keep herself in shape.

It's possible she was skating but without doing triples

She need technical precision too, being in shape isn't enough for this sport :(. Anyway, anxiety won't go away until I see vids of her trainings.

Eteri! If you're reading this somewhere in Moscow, make sure that Zhenya has plenty of time to prepare for competitions WITHOUT pushing herself too soon just to get to a competition. Defending a national title not isn't as important as the Olympics, but isn't going to happen if she skates still injured / untrained due to injury. If her doctors have cleared her not only to train but to compete at a championship less than a week after resuming training, that's one thing, but.... I kinda doubt that they know the whole thing about her next competition and her training level...
Zhenya, just don't risk your health, and Eteri, don't let her. You're the coach, now act like one.
(I say this as a fan of Eteri)

I honestly don’t think she would be able to jump triples on her first day back, even if her pause was short. Regardless, I hope she’s 100% healed

I truly hope she's recovered enough and does not aggravate her injury by participating in a competition before she's ready. Wishing Zhenya all the best for Nationals.
