Some stuff from Alexandra Trusova's new interview (03.01.18) https://twitter.com/morisnourd/status/948558720488886275

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHRBBzkgGTo Evgenia gave an interview for an Anime Streaming website, Wakanim! They have the link to the full interview but it's not available in my country -_-

There will be an Olympic anthem. Singing Russian anthem would disqualify them. I think they can choose silence and the crowd can sing their national anthem in their place.
In my opinion, IOC's decision is nor right nor wrong. It saddens me to see innocent athletes got punished in the mix of the affairs that they have nothing to do with.

That would be good if the crowd did that. You know though, if you think about it, the world will be watching this event. Perhaps one of the biggest, most publicized Olympic events. If the gold and silver medalists got disqualified for singing their anthem, I wonder how the international public would respond to it.
Honestly, they should just skate for themselves and love of skating.
Doubt crowds, unless they are full of Russians, will sing anthem of a country that broke the rules of fair sport in the worst possible way.
I do like Evgenia's skating. I don't like how she is used as part of Russian propaganda at times. Why was it her (beautiful young skaters) speaking about the ban and not some... let's say hockey player or other tough looking athlete?
Anyways, I wish her the best personally, though I have nagging suspicion we may not see her at the Europeans (I hope we do).
Lets not start this. It matters that you are skating for your country, especially at the Olympics, and Zhenya has stated multiple times it matters to her. If it didn't matter we would do away with the countries all together at the Olys but that is never going to happen as everyone is happy to represent their country, and proud of it.
I am sure the Russian fans there will sing their own anthem, and they should.
Russian propaganda? You do realize you're in Evgenia's Fanfest right? And she spoke because at this moment she is their biggest star when it comes to the Winter Games, who is beyond reproach when it comes to doping, while a double World/European/GPF champion and she is a media darling, and not just in Russia. Lets not pretend this is somehow a Russian invention and that it is odd that she would do this. I'm sure she was quite proud to do it for her country.
