Evgenia Medvedeva

Japanese can't get enough of Evgenia medvedeva, here's another video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkFlEAwlkC4
And yet an interesting question is asked in English:

Japanese reporter : "Situation is you can't play for your country, that's very tough but you do it"

Zhenya : "I can play for ma team, for my conscious, for my teammate and for myself"

What's the hype in Zhenya's instagram? "I'm proud of you", "I'm proud of you" - and it's not even related with figure skating! They're proud of her because EXO signed her cd or what? And if so, what's the reason to be proud of this? I mean, her fighting on the ice and wining the titles - that's a reason to be proud. But writing that they're proud because of signed cd? What the hell? Or am I missing something?

not really understand the hype about the CD either, also I saw the type of comment "She's so lucky, should I be an athlete to meet them (EXO) too" makes me upset, it feels like her years of hard trainings get dismissed. But they're EXO fans who aren't figure skating followers to begin with, so the best is to ignore them.

Exactly. Agreed with what you said here. I mean with all our fun here as fans of her skating, Evgenia the person is also more than just a figure skater (just like we are all more in our lives than just fans here). And one of those things is that SHE is an EXO fan. So that is another group of people she might relate to and share in common in their excitement on her instagram. While her figure skater fans would scratch their heads at it, the other EXO fans (like her) would share their excitement about it. Same goes for anime or whatever other interests she has I guess. Everybody is a human being in the end, not an icon or immortal image (no matter how much media and celebrity and fans play it up to be). It's something for every fan to remember about those they admire for whatever their talent: they are human beings just like you, same emotions and all. Every person needs respect. And I wish the haters especially would remember that as well. Especially those who hate a person just because they support another one. And you guys know exactly who I am talking about on youtube. It shows a lack of maturity to behave in that way. I see it happening a bit, being directed at, Alina as well and that is especially disturbing because Alina is 15 and seems to be shyer, more of a kid who seems to be more sensitive in some ways. I am sure Eteri, her coaches, and even Evgenia are watching out for her, but people also need to back off the hate and grasp the reality. Show a little respect, maturity, and dignity. And that ends my long-winded entry here. :) haha. Sorry guys. Look forward to the singles competition next week! :)

It's much better when Koreans Exo's fans are proud of her and support her, than possible hate she could get from some haters. I was very worried about some of them...

I mean, the first person to be hyped about the CD is Evgenia herself. It’s a passion of hers and she’s a fan, and people love her and relate to her because of it. I really don’t see the problem here?
