I will be cheering so much for our Zhenya, she has nerves of steel and has been able to withstand the weight of the world on her shoulder unlike any lady we have seen in the last 4 years. I am sure she will do her best and I hope she enjoys herself a lot.

I hope we'd see 3lo-3lo or 3f-3lo next season, since she's been practicing these combo for a long time. For this season she hasn't been practicing enough to safely put them in, unfortunately.
Maybe be she can try 3/3/2 this season. That could make a difference is score with Alina is close.

Alina won over her in SP so I'm afraid Alina would have to bomb FS otherwise I see no chance for Zhenya to win this golden medal

Yeah, I was also afraid of that after we saw her PCS in team event. Judges see Alina as a leader.
Shame that they didn't even give Zhenya a chance to fight.... It's kinda over now.:shame:
However, I am proud of Zhenya, she is the best for me anyway! Just relax now and show your best skat in free!

Chances of Alina bombing the free skate enough for Zhenya to overtake? Next to nil.
I can’t believe it to be over, as we never know how they will skate on Friday, but judges have shown me at euros and in team event that they clearly want to go with Alina for top marks if she delivers.
I’m still rooting for Zhenya to get a gold on Friday, but I’m afraid she’s going to end up like Patrick in 2014 Sochi (two silvers). :sad21:

Now Zhenya needs two lz in lp and one in her sp. she needs to work hard on getting that edge correct 100% of the time.
More immediately, she might consider 3f3t in the second half for Friday.
