E: I think she’s just knew something new about me *laughs*.

If tomorrow Katya Bobrova [Russian ice dancer] and Yuzuru Hanyu will fight playfully over a bun in the dining room, and Misha Ge passing by will jump on them, what will you do? You can: a) stand up and go save them all; b) ignore it; c) take a deep breath and walk out of the dining room.
E: I’ll start taking pictures of them with my phone because I see it almost every day when they are together *laughs*.
M: You think this doesn’t happen?
E: It does *laughs*. That’s why I am recording all of it with my phone.
Is it really so possible?
E: Of course! It happens constantly in some variations but I am never surprised.I’ll be only happy if i’ll see them like this.

E: Yes, yes *blushes*.

You look so fearless, but do you have deep fears?
I fear butterflies. So so much. For real, if you want to scare me to death just throw a butterfly in me.
Everyone knows that Yuzuru Hanyu is your friend. Tell us please how did you meet Yuzuru? And another one: so many fans are waiting for your double act on the gala skate, when can we expect it?
Double gala performance? How could it be? I think it is not the question for us, it is not truly possible, I guess, considering the circumstances *smiles*. And as for our first meeting… I’ve met him the same way as other guys from other countries – in international competition. I watch figure skating since I was a child and before the meeting I knew already who he is, I saw his performances on the TV when I was not able yet to compete on the same level. I’m checking on his career for a long time.
So you can’t remember how it was? Did he introduce himself first or it was you?
I can’t remember, to be honest, this was years ago.

Tell us about the most memorable expression of support from your fans.
It was on the Olympics. The ice arena was full of the Russian voices, I heard it from everywhere, heard all the shouts and words.
Even during the performances?
Yeah, I heard everything. It was unbelievable to hear my native language here, in Korea.
What do you prefer: Russian winter or hot tropics?
Russian winter.
Favorite book?
The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury.
Zhenya, yesterday you said that you cry very rarely…
I meant I never cried so much after the skate.
Did you ever cry after the practice because of tiredness?
Never. To be honest, I am very sentimental, you can move me to tears so hard that I can cry at least 20 minutes nonstop. But it never happens because of movies, books or some kind of stories. It’s really strange; someone may say to me a short phrase, so little but so meaningful and special, like the words I’ve been waiting for a long time, and then I’m just “Don’t cry, don’t, don’t do it” and crying anyway.
